Chapter 85
Keira met his gaze, her eyes darkened, and finished his sentence, “Who else would want to marry someone like me, an orphan with no family or connections, right?”
Her lips curved into a smile, but her face was expressionless, which oddly made her seem calm. yet unsettling.
“I didn’t mean it like that,” Andres said, frowning.
She wasn’t his anymore. She wasn’t under his control.
The realization hit Andres like a punch to the gut.
Keira had always been mild and obedient through the years, except when it came to intimacy.
She insisted on saving their first time for their wedding night and he endured it.
The thought of all those years he had kept his hands off her, only for her to possibly be with some unknown, fat, greasy old man…
He couldn’t stand it!
Keira’s words brought him back to reality.”You are really strange.”
She stood in the doorway, the hallway lights casting on her beautiful face, her voice cold.
“You clearly looked down on me. I broke up with you, and yet you kept coming back to find me over and over again. Aren’t you tired?”
She glanced down, noticing his bare left wrist, a bitterness lingering in her mouth. “You just casually gave the romance I prayed for to someone else.”
Andres instinctively wanted to steer clear of this subject.
He rubbed his forehead and said, “It’s all in the past. Why can’t you let it go?”
“I’ve already broken up with you. Why can’t you move on?” said Keira.
His forehead veins pulsed as he took a deep breath, finally calming down a bit.
He had really been misled by Alondra. Keira was too proud and stubborn to ever stoop to find a sugar daddy.
She kept bringing up sugar daddies and marriage clearly trying to piss him off.
Andres’ anger started to defuse slightly.
His voice was a bit slower, but still had that condescending tone, “How long are you going to keep making a scene? Back then, I didn’t realize how important the bracelet was, and I didn’t mean to break up with you.”
With that, he felt like he was pleading with her. He furrowed his brows and coldly warned, “Keira, cut it out. I’m not dependent on you!”
Keira knew very well that Andres, always so high and mighty, had plenty of women throwing

themselves at him. Not to mention others, the girl next door was eager to give it a shot.
She met his gaze, her eyes unusually calm and lear.
“Well, then don’t bother me anymore.”
