Chapter 86
Andres nodded.”Is there a way to get in touch with him?”
Alec replied, “He’s been abroad recently, and we haven’t been able to reach him, but we heard he’s flying back this Sunday, landing in California. There will be a meet-up at the Star Restaurant that afternoon. We can try to meet him there.”
“Alright, get in touch with the director here and clear my schedule for the day. I’ll go meet him on Sunday,” said Andres.
On Saturday, Keira was holding the script, marking the key plot points carefully and matching them up with the actors.
“Keira,” Markus called out.
It was peak summer now, and the weather was sweltering.
She turned around, her bangs slightly damp from sweat. Her eyes were bright and clear.
Markus paused, captivated by her beautiful eyes.
“Keira, you’ve been in the industry for years. Have you ever thought about making your debut?” With her looks, she could just stand there and people would be happy to pay for her.
“Huh?” Keira was taken aback, her eyes wide with confusion.
Markus snapped back to reality and chuckled, “Well, tomorrow is a day off, but the next two months will be hectic. Not much time to rest. So, when you go back, pack some extra clothes and take a real break.
“Also, during filming, Mr. Watkins will be around to guide you. It’s a great learning opportunity.” She nodded but didn’t really register what he had just asked her.
After lunch, Markus asked her to head back.
Keira pondered for a moment and decided not to go straight back downtown. Instead, she went to visit Chelsea and Randall first.
“Keira, what’s going on?” Chelsea asked, looking puzzled.
Chelsea’s attention turned to the group of men behind her. There were six workers in uniforms from an unfamiliar company. They were shuttling back and forth, carrying ten large boxes and placing them behind Keira.
“I bought these drinks,” Keira explained.”Call the rest of the cast and crew to grab some. And make sure to bring some to the senior folks yourselves. There’s plenty, so feel free to take a bit extra. If it’s not enough, I can send more.”
This was their first time on set, and buying drinks was a great way to make a positive impression. Keira hoped that even if they never collaborated again after this project, the crew and the senior folks would keep an eye out for them while they were filming.
