Chapter 24
LUCIEN’S POINT OF VIEW.
I pull up to the front of her house a few minutes into the night. Grabbing my phone, I shoot her a text.
ME: Come outside.
Three dots appear instantly.
SUNSHINE: What do you mean?
I could imagine her scrunching up her little button nose in confusion as she typed away at her phone.
ME: We’re going to the spot, remember?
SUNSHINE: I thought that was tomorrow.
It was, but like the selfish bastard I am, I wanted her to myself before the guys got there.
ME: That’s for the guys; you and I should go there earlier. I have something to show you.

She doesn’t reply, but her curtains shift as she raises two outfits for me to choose from. They both look horrible, so I shake my head negatively before
walking to her door and ringing the bell.
The sound of her running down the steps draws a smile from my lips. She opens the door and quickly pulls me in like I’m a secret she doesn’t want anyone
to see.
“Hurry!” She whispers. “Let’s go up.” She said, unaware of the tension in my groin and chest at the sight of her right now.
She’s dressed in shorts that should be banned from all stores, especially if she looks as hot as she does. Her little top barely covers the skin of her stomach,
as her breasts stare back at me, tempting me to lean in for a taste.
She looks at me strangely, and I notice she has asked me a question, but my undressing of her with my eyes, and the sinful way she’s dressed, blur
everything else around me.
‘Did you say something?”
“Yes, let’s go up.” She says, pulling me along as she walks in front of me. Her ass stares back at me as she moves, tempting me to have a feel of it.
As hard as it is, I shake the thought of peeling her clothes off her body, and choose a cute enough dress for tomorrow, and in no time, we’re out of the
house.
The road to The Spot is the kind you don’t take by accident. It’s narrow, unlit, by a large body of water, and curling up into the hills like it’s leading you out of the world. The only sound in the car is that of my engine and the occasional crunch of gravel under the tires.
She sits beside me, with her arms folded, and her eyes darting between the windshield and me like she’s trying to decide whether this is a kidnapping or a
date.
“Relax, Rabbit,” I say, watching the faint reflection of her frown in the glass, while I act like the thought of her this close to me doesn’t send my heart into

an overdrive “If I wanted to bury you in the woods, we’d have taken a left six miles ago.”
Her lips twitch, but she doesn’t give me the satisfaction of a laugh, as her eyes dart between the road ahead and the one behind
When we pull up, the place looks like nothing; it’s just a tall, blocky sports complex left to rot, at least on the outside. I kill the engine, get out, and round the car to help her with the door. We walk together to the building up ahead, her breath is caught in the dark as she clings to me with tight fingers fastened
to my arm.
“No one’s gonna bite you, sunshine,” I chuckle, but her grip tightens on my arm till we get to the door.
A hidden steel door, a code only the guys and I know on a keypad, the groan of rusted hinges–and then we’re inside.
We climb three flights of stairs. When I push open the final door, the wide rooftop spreads out under the night sky. String lights dangle overhead, swaying in the breeze. The air smells faintly of smoke from the fire pit in the center, surrounded by mismatched leather chairs and low tables scattered with empty glasses from the last time I was here. The city sprawls in the distance, a galaxy of lights under the black.
“This is…” she starts, and then stops herself.
“Mine,” I finish.
“But this isn’t where the spot is,” I said, and walked to the latch hidden in the floor, before pulling on it to reveal a flight of stairs.
