A game.
Nothing more. My heart clenches as her words hit me aquare in the chest, the truth of it stares me in the face like the monster I’d tried to avoid all my life.
My mind replays the moment he whispered to me; good girl.
His voice had dropped to a delicious tempo as he whispered filthy words in myu hrs, while his finers were buried deep inside me. My stomach flips when i replay the sound of his groan, each time he buried his face between my thighs.
It was like he was pleased with having his tongue insde me every second he spent between my legs. His groans were guttural, satisfied, filthy, and raw.
I shake the thoughts off, and rise from my bed.
School awaits, Sloane.
By the time I step into school grounds, everyone whispers around me, as they step away from me like I’d become a leper.
Just when I was about to ask what the fuck was going on, someone runs up to me her green hair bounces with every step as she moves.
“The principal would lile to see you, Sloane.” She reveals, and for some reason, my heart thumders loudly in my ears, as my heart coils around my ribs like a
vice.
Is there a problem?” I asked her, as my face grew pale with the dread of facing the principal without Lucien by my side.
“There seems to be conversation about your scholarship, Sloane.” She responds, a she looks at me with pity, and sadness. “I think you should call Lucien.
The school blog is riddled with different news about you, and everyone says, you might get expelled.”
“What? Kim, I got here because I was the best at my other school, every single important official in this damn school knows that.” I respond.
She nods at me, as though she could see the pain in my eyes.
‘I know. That’s why I suggest you call Lucien. He might have something he can d about this, because from what I see; expulsion is the next line of action
for you.” She says, and just before I can respond, I catch sight of someone standing in the hall not too fat from us.
Her wicked smile stares back at me as she glares with victory.
Roxanne.
I should have known this was her work.
Ill get it done, Kim. Thanks. She nods, squeezes my hand in comfort, before waking off.
Rozanne makes a kill motion with her fingers, before laughing loudly, with Mattehind her.
“She won’t last long. Roxanne’s right; girls like her don’t deserve a free ride.” Seone whispers loudly beside me with her group of cat like friends around
her.
Everyone knows she’s spreading her legs for Knox now. Bet she can’t keep her ades up. Apparently, her grades from her previous school were doctored,
she’s actually a dumb blonde. What does Lucien see in her?”

Their words slice through me, and I fight to keep my chin high as I march to class. But then I see it–an image pinned to the bulletin board outside the
dean’s office.
It’s a forged screenshot, but it’s been printed and highlighted, to make it look like I’ve been selling myself to Lucien for favors; like my scholarship is bought with my body, and not by being the best at my previous school, and staying the est here even above mosty of the spoilt kids of Ravenscroft High.
My stomach drops to my feet immediately, and my hands shake as I rip it down, but not before I see Roxanne leaning casually against the wall, her smirk poisonous. I was so preoccupied with my rage, I didn’t see her move from where she was earlier.
