Chapter 91
SLOANE’S POINT OF VIEW.
With a smirk, I move to turn away from Lucien, but he stops me with his heated oice.

“That idea you have….don’t do it. I won’t be responsible for whatever happens as a consequence of your actions, Sunshine.”
“We’re no longer together. Stop being an annoying fucking ex.” I shot back, before walking away without once looking back.
But the entire time I move through the halls, and until I exit, I feel his eyes hot on my back.
Heading to the one place I would find him, I stop at the door of the art room. With a slow knock, he looks away from his phone for a moment. And the second our eyes connect, I see a flush of something I can’t recognize yet again.
“Hello, Ace,” I whisper, a smile blooming on my face at the thought of my plan.
“Oh, it’s the swimmer…or drowner.” He remarks, tucking his phone in his pocket. For some reason, I wanted to see what he was doing, especially because of
the way he pulled it away.
“Oh, please. Let’s forget that. “I said, still smiling, until I stopped in front of him “You busy tonight?” I asked.
“Depends. Why do you ask?”
“There’s a party. And I can invite as many people as I want…so I pick you are one of my invitees..that is. If you’re interested, of course.” I said, as the thought of Lucien seeing me on Ace’s arm tonight, especially in the dress I would wear, played in my mind.
It would be the perfect fuck you to the son of a fucking gun; telling him to leave me the fuck alone, and that I’d moved on from him.
‘Have you thought?’ My subconscious asked, but I shushed her immediately. Even if I had to pretend, I would rid myself of Lucien Ravenscroft.
“I love parties.” He says, chuckling as the same dark expression crossed his mind
“Excellent! I’ll text the address to you, but I must have your number,” I said, clapping my hands excitedly.
He hands me his phone and watches as I punch my details in..
“Oh, and I’ll have to know where you stay….so I can pick you up,” I said, but instad, he shook his head.
“I’ll do that instead. Just text me your address.” He said, and my mind bloomed with an even better plan.
If Lucien sees me coming out of Ace’s car…or that of any other guy, he would lose it.
‘Are you really sure you want to do this with Lucien? You know how crazy he coul get. My subconscious asks again…but I ignore her, focusing instead on
making sure Lucien sees me tonight.
“Perfect!” I said, handing his phone back to him.
“I’ll text you.” He says, while saving my number. “Are you also in the coming pla” He asks, and I nod, my mind drifts back to the mountain load of scripts
I have to know before the next rehearsal in a week.
“Perfect. I auditioned for a part in it today.” He says, and for some reason, it piqued my interest.

“Really? What part?”

“The villain.” He says, fixing me with a smile.
“Why do I expect nothing less from you?” I asked, chuckling.
“Maybe because you see me for the villain I really am.”
“No way!” Amara exclaims and squeals at the same time. “You’re doing what?”
“I’m making sure Lucien knows what the fuck he screwed up,” I reply, while looking through my wardrobe for something that looks at least presentable.
“Wait…how did you and he even start dating? I thought we hated him, and you wanted Matt.” She asks, reminding me of the reason this mess started in the
first place.
With a sigh, I plop on my bed before groaning into my pillow. “You’re not gonna believe me.”
“Well, start spilling already.” She says, lying beside me as she munches on her hot Cheetos.
“Okay. Here’s how everything started.” I tell her everything, from the fake dating to it becoming real, and where we are now. With every word that leaves my lips, her eyes grow comically wider, reminding me of an animated character, as a cheeto hangs between her lips.
“So, that’s it.” I breathe and groan into my pillow again.
“Wow! You certainly are having a more exciting senior year than me.” She says with a laugh.
“Why? What happened?” I asked, sitting up with a frown on my face.
“Nothing, let’s not focus on me. What are you gonna wear?” She asks, “Cause now that I know everything, Lucien’s eyeballs must pop out of their sockets the moment he sees you tonight.”
“I know, right?” I said, before pulling the two options I had from my wardrobe.
She stares at the dresses with such heat, they would have caught on fire if she had any power.
“Hell no!” She exclaims, before snatching the dresses from me and flipping them aggressively. “This should be a fashion crime for existing.” She grabs her
dress and pulls me along.
“We’re going shopping.”
In no time, she forces me into her car and speeds off the road to her Aunt’s boutique.
“Amara.” I groan as I stare at the expensive mall. “You know these are entirely o of my budget. My wallet would crack from the price tags, and I barely have anything in there.”
“That’s why you have a very rich best friend.” She says, flashing me her black ca, before turning off the ignition to her Aston Martin.
I exhale and steel myself for the gruesome hours I’d spend with Amara in there, cause for the fashion icon she is…..nothing was ever good enough.
A few minutes later, we’re settled in her private suite, dressed in robes, as one of he attendants brings us a rack of dresses.
Amara stands with her fingers on her chin as she walks towards the dresses. They all looked beautiful to me, but Amara was a fashion student in one of the most expensive schools in the nation.

She looked at some of the dresses like she wanted to stomp on them.

“No, no, this is just stupid.” She says, pushing some dresses to the side, and that how it goes for what felt like hours, until she finally gasps so sharply, it
brought a smile to my lips.
Because I knew she had finally found the one.
“This is literally your color!” She says excitedly, turning around with a short, red dress. It had a plunging neckline and was backless. It would reveal a healthy amount of cleavage that I was sure would leave Lucien spiraling with lust and anger.
It was also short enough to expose enough of my thighs, the very way Lucien always went crazy over whenever he was buried deep inside me. My skin flushes with both a need to see the look on his face the moment he spots me in this dress, and what he would do when he sees that Ace is my date.
The perfect recipe for disaster, to an even more disastrous party.
