FAKE DATING WITH BENEFITS MY BILLIONAIRE BOSS (Ophelia Corrigan) novel Chapter 75

CHAPTER 75

MON

The elevator doors closed behind us with a soft click, and the silence of the apartment was almost deafening. The kids were already asleep, the nanny had left, and I was standing in the middle of the living room with a drunk woman in my arms.

Jamie mumbled something against my shoulder, the words completely slurred and unintelligible.

“What?” I asked, walking toward the bedroom.

“You’re so big,” she murmured, and I couldn’t help a low laugh.

“Thanks, I guess.”

I walked into the bedroom and laid her down on the bed carefully. She sank into the mattress like she’d just found the most comfortable place in the world, letting out a satisfied sigh. Her eyes were already closed, her lips slightly parted.

I stood there for a moment, watching her. Dark hair spread across the white pillow, cheeks flushed from the alcohol, breathing slow and heavy.

Even smelling like booze and talking nonsense, she was fucking beautiful.

I shook my head and went to the kitchen.

Grabbed a bottle of coconut water from the fridge and a glass, filled it, and walked back to the bedroom. Sat on the edge of the bed, touching her shoulder carefully.

“Jamie. Wake up.”

She grunted, turning her face away.

“Jamie. You need to drink some water.”

“I’m fine,” she murmured, her voice muffled against the pillow.

“You’re not fine. Listen to me. Sit up.”

With a dramatic sigh, she turned and sat up slowly, her eyes still half-closed. I took the glass and brought it to her lips, tilting it carefully. She took a few sips, but on the third, her face went pale.

“Simon-”

I didn’t need to hear the rest. I scooped her up and ran to the bathroom, getting there just in time to see her lean over the toilet and start throwing up.

I held her hair with one hand, pulling it away from her face, while the other stayed firm on her back, steadying her. She trembled, a muffled sound escaping her throat, and I gripped her hair tighter.

“It’s okay,” I murmured. “Just let it out.”

She vomited again, and I felt her whole body shake. When she finally stopped, she stayed there, gasping, her forehead resting on the cold rim of the toilet.

“Done?” I asked, my voice softer than I expected.

She nodded, a weak, shaky moventient.

“Stay here.” I stood up, grabbed a glass of water from the sink, and placed it in her hands. “Rinse your mouth. I’ll be right back.”

She obeyed, and I took the chance to wet a towel with cold water. When I came back, she was sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall, eyes closed.

I knelt in front of her, pressing the cold towel to her forehead. She sighed, leaning slightly into my hand.

“You need a cold shower,” I said. “It’ll help.”

“A shower?” She opened her eyes, confused. “Now?”

“You’ll feel better.”

I lifted her carefully, guiding her to the shower. She could barely stand, her eyes still heavy with alcohol and exhaustion. I turned on the faucet, and the cold water started pouring over us.

The shock was immediate. She gasped, her eyes widening as the water ran down her body, soaking the clothes she was still wearing.

“Cold!” She panted, teeth chattering. “It’s freezing.”

“That’s the point.” I held her steady, keeping her upright as the water kept falling. “Stay here. Just a few more minutes.”

She shivered against me, and I felt the stiffness in her body slowly give way, her muscles relaxing under the pressure of the cold water. Her eyes closed again, and she leaned into me, her head falling against my chest.

“You’re so warm,” she murmured, her voice barely audible. “Why are you so warm?”

“Because you’re drunk,” I answered, awkwardly.

She laughed, a low, rough sound, and lifted her face to look at me with those half-closed eyes.

“You know what I like about you?”

“No.”

“You make me come.”

My hand stopped mid-motion.

“What?”

“You make me come,” she repeated, like it was the most natural thing in the world. “Every time. Oliver never could. Not once. But you can. You’re really good at it.” She laughed again, a drunk, unfiltered sound.

“Really, really good.”

losed my eyes for a moment, trying to figure out if that was a compliment or not.

“You’re going to remember this tomorrow?” I asked.

She shook her head. “No.” Another little laugh. “Probably not.”

“Good.”

I turned off the water, and the relief that flooded my chest was almost palpable. I wrapped a towel around her and helped her out of the shower, her bare feet slipping on the wet floor. She was still shaking, but she seemed more sober now.

I sat her on the edge of the tub and went to get a clean t-shirt and sweatpants from the closet. When I came back, she was sitting there, looking like a lost child, her eyes wide and her lips still trembling from the cold.

“I’m going to help you change, okay?”

She nodded, and I worked in silence, removing the wet clothes carefully, drying her cold skin with the dry towel. I was meticulous, precise, keeping my eyes focused on what I was doing, even though every inch of exposed skin seemed to want to distract me.

I dressed her in the t-shirt and sweatpants, both too big, and laid her back in bed, pulling the covers up to

her chin.

She watched me with those heavy, sleepy eyes.

“You’re so good to me,” she said, her voice almost a whisper. “You’re good all the time, actually. Even when you’re being annoying.”

“It’s my charm.”

She laughed, a low, rough sound.
