Fake Daughter Is The Real Legend (Iris Sutton) novel Chapter 376

Chapter 376 Who Sent You?

No matter what expressions the people below the stage wore, applause still erupted throughout the venue.

“Thank you, everyone. I’m truly honored to receive this recognition, I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this without everyone’s hard work. I hope I can continue to receive your support and guidance in the future. Thank you.”

After saying that, Iris bowed and quietly returned to stand behind Mr. Liam.

The admiration and pride in Ares Barclay’s eyes were practically overflowing. Julian, standing beside him, covered his eyes, unable to bear watching.

Finally, Mr. Liam announced, “I wish everyone a wonderful evening. Please enjoy yourselves The banquet officially begins!”

Iris stepped down from the stage, and Ares immediately walked over to her. He tightly held her hand.

Iris glanced at him in surprise but didn’t think much of it.

After Mr. Liam introduced Iris to several influential figures, she used an excuse to leave. She also took Olivia and Ethan with her

Mr. Liam knew this matter needed a proper resolution, so he didn’t stop them. Some matters between young people were no longer something someone of his age should interfere with.

He quietly returned to the banquet hall. As the guests exchanged toasts and laughter filled the room, Mr. Liam couldn’t help but feel happy seeing the younger generation clearly distinguish between love and hatred.

Olivia and Ethan were taken away by people Julian had brought.

Both of them knew exactly what they were about to face, but they also understood the reality of the situation.

Even Ethan, with his background, had no choice but to submit before Ares Barclay’s influence-let alone Olivia, who had neither money nor power to rely on.

Iris let Ares drive her back to the Noir residence.

They had barely reached the gates when every light inside the estate suddenly went out.

Ares’s hands tightened around the steering wheel.

“That’s not normal.”

Iris’s expression changed immediately.

The Noir residence was never completely dark. The security system, exterior lights, and surveillance equipment were all connected to backup power.

Ares slowed the car as they approached the gates.

“Stay here,” he said.

Iris immediately shook her head. “No.”

She reached for the door.

" Whatever happened, my parents are inside.”

Ares caught her wrist “which is exactly why you shouldn’t rush in.”

Iris met his gaze.

For a moment, neither of them spoke.

Then Ares released her wrist and stepped out of the car.

“Fine. We go in together.”

The gates stood wide open.

No guards came forward to greet them.

No one challenged them.

The silence was deeply unsettling.

Ares’s expression hardened. He drew his weapon and moved slightly ahead of Iris as they entered the estate.

They had barely reached the main entrance when Iris noticed something lying near the steps.

A guard.

Unconscious.

Then she spotted another.

And another.

Iris immediately crouched beside the nearest guard and checked his pulse.

“He’s alive.”

She noticed a faint chemical smell lingering in the air.

Her eyes narrowed.

“Gas.”

Ares looked around sharply. “Everyone?”

Iris stood and surveyed the area. “Looks like it.”

They exchanged a glance.

Whoever had attacked the Noir residence hadn’t come to cause a commotion.

They had come prepared.

And they had known exactly how to disable the estate’s security.

Suddenly, Iris’s phone vibrated.

She pulled it from her pocket.

An unknown number,

A message appeared on the screen.

[If you want your parent alive, come to the address below.j

An address followed.

Iris’s eyes narrowed.

Another message arrived.

This time, it was a photograph.

Her expression changed the moment she saw it,

Richard.

Eleanor.

And Chloe.

All three were sitting in what appeared to be a dark, unfamiliar room, their heads hanging limply and their eyes closed.
