Viola’s face went pale.
Loan sharks?
Downstairs, the leader, Shane Corbyn, planted one foot on the coffee table.

“Mr. Kain, you said you’d pay in a month. Well, the month’s up. Principal plus interest comes to 80 million. Pay up.”
Gresham’s face drained of color. “Didn’t we only borrow 50 million? How did it turn into 80?”
Shane grinned around the cigarette between his lips. “This is loan shark money. You don’t know what that means?”
“My son borrowed it from you. Let me call him first,” Gresham said urgently.
He quickly called Jasper. Soon, Jasper rushed back.
The moment he saw the living room full of debt collectors, his expression darkened.
“I don’t have that much money right now. Give me a few more days.”
“A few days?” Shane snapped. “How many days is that? We agreed on today. Today means today. Hand it over.”
Jasper’s face tightened.
“Boss, we grabbed a woman!”
One of Shane’s men dragged Viola downstairs.
She screamed and cried, begging Jasper and the others to save her.
Jasper’s expression grew even worse.
“This your
sister?” Shane asked with a mocking smile. He grabbed Viola by the chin and looked her over. “She’s not bad looking. If you can’t come up with the cash, you can use her as collateral.”
Viola cried even harder. Willow felt like her heart was being torn out, but there was nothing she could do. She could only shout at Jasper in desperation. “Son, save your sister. Think of something. Please!”
Jasper clenched his fists tightly. Anyone who ran loan shark operations came from the

underworld. They were capable of murder and worse. These were people you couldn’t afford
to cross.
When he had gone to them, he had believed Alliance 749 would back him no matter what. But now…
With bloodshot eyes, he looked at Viola, who was crying uncontrollably. Pain flashed across his face as he shut his eyes for a moment. Then he stepped forward. “Let my sister go. I’ll use this villa as collateral,” he said.
“Oh?” Shane raised an eyebrow with interest and gestured for his men to release Viola.
Gresham shouted, “This house is where the Kains have lived for over a decade. You want to mortgage it? Are you insane?”
“Mom, go get the property deed,” Jasper said.
Willow hesitated. Gresham was still shouting in fury. Jasper sounded exhausted, like he was running on fumes. “Trust me. I’ll buy this house back later. This is only temporary. Otherwise, do you have a better solution?”
Gresham and Willow truly had no solution. In the end, with tears in her eyes, Willow could only go upstairs to get the property deed. Reluctantly, she handed it over to Jasper, who then passed it to Shane.
“Now that you’ve got this, you can leave, right?” Jasper asked coldly.
“Using the house as collateral works. At best, it’s worth about 50 million. That means you still owe me 30 million. I’ll give you one more week. If you can’t come up with the money by then, this villa is ours,” Shane said with a grin, the cigarette still hanging from his lips.
The villa was worth at least 70 million, but Jasper had no other options left. He could only swallow the loss.
He nodded stiffly.
Shane took his people and left.
“Son, what are we supposed to do now?” Willow asked in a panic, completely at a loss. “You gave them the property deed. What if you still can’t get the money in a week?”
“Did you meet the boss of Alliance 749? What did they say?” Gresham asked anxiously.
Jasper’s mind was in complete chaos. He didn’t want to talk. “I’ll handle it. I’m going upstairs.”
With that, he strode up the stairs.

Chapter 105 Last Asset
A heavy sense of despair spread through the entire Kain household.
Over at Melrose Manor, Noelle was in an excellent mood.
She looked at the property deed in her hand.

“Boss, you’re incredible. You said they’d use the house as collateral, and they actually did it,” one of her people said.
Noelle curled her lips. The Kains were completely cornered. They didn’t have a single dollar left. Using the house as collateral was their only choice.
What else could they have done?
Now that the deed was handed over, they could forget about getting it back.
That villa belonged to her now.
Her phone started ringing nonstop. Noelle glanced at the screen. It was Jasper calling. She hung up immediately and blocked the number.
A knock sounded at the door.
Noelle looked up and saw Lucas leaning against the doorframe. His eyes crinkled into a teasing smile as he asked lazily, “Dr. Kain, your honey asked me
to check what you want for dinner.”
Noelle actually thought about it. “I want barbecue ribs, grilled salmon, slow–cooked beef brisket, creamy Tuscan shrimp, chicken and potato casserole, spiced steak bites, and corn chowder.”
Lucas clicked his tongue. “Add some vegetables. That’s all meat. Don’t you get sick of it?”
He crossed his arms and walked off with mock arrogance. First, he went to the kitchen to pass along Noelle’s dinner order. Then he headed to the living room, where Sebastian sat in his wheelchair handling some work. Lucas plopped down beside him and said, “I’m telling you, whatever’s happening to the Kains has to be connected to Noelle. I just came from her room. You should’ve seen how happy she looked. But here’s the weird part. The Kains were trapped by Alliance 749. Does that mean Noelle has some kind of connection to Alliance 749?”
