Willow watched with her own eyes as Noelle was pushed into the van. She didn’t relax until the van drove off and disappeared.
This time, nothing would go wrong.
She could finally feel safe.
Willow narrowed her eyes happily. No one could threaten them anymore, and Jasper could take back all the shares of Kain Group.
Feeling satisfied, Willow went home.
When she returned to the Kains‘ estate, the housekeepers were busy as usual. She asked, “Where’s Viola?”
A housekeeper answered politely, “She hasn’t come downstairs. She should still be in her
room.”
Willow nodded and quickly went upstairs to find Viola.
She knocked. “Viola? What are you doing? I’m home.”
A voice from inside told her to come in. Willow pushed the door open right away. She was so happy that she didn’t even realize the voice wasn’t Viola at all.
“Viola! I sold that bitch Noelle! She’ll never-”
She stopped mid–sentence. Willow’s eyes widened as she stared at the person on the bed. It was like seeing a ghost.
Noelle was lying on the bed with her legs crossed, eating an apple. She took a big bite, looked up at Willow, and smirked. “Never what? Hm?”
“N–Noelle! Why are you here?!”
Willow’s voice cracked as she shrieked in terror.
She stared at Noelle, teeth shaking. “If you’re here, then where’s Viola? Where is my Viola?!”
She lost it, screaming like she’d gone crazy.
“Hmm, her?”

Noelle pushed a piece of apple to her cheek with her tongue so it puffed up. “Let me think… She’s probably already sold to a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. The exact place? Mrs. Kain, shouldn’t you know? You picked the spot yourself.”
Willow completely broke down.
“Noelle! How dare you hurt my Viola! I’ll kill you!”
She lunged forward like a maniac, reaching to grab Noelle’s neck.
Noelle looked at her without any emotion and kicked her.
Willow crashed to the floor. Thinking about her daughter trapped in that awful place she had chosen, she let out a loud, desperate cry.
She didn’t care about her pride anymore. She crawled to Noelle’s feet, screaming and begging, “Noelle! Please! Let Viola go! It’s not too late! If you let her go now, I’ll tell you who your real parents are! I promise! I’ll tell you everything!”
Noelle’s eyes remained flat. She looked down at the sobbing woman, as if she were looking at a bug. “I’ll give you one chance. Speak. If I like what I hear, I’ll consider it.”
Willow blurted out, “I kidnapped you from Horizon Hospital! I only saw your parents‘ backs -I didn’t see their faces! But I heard the nurses speaking to them with that extra–respectful tone people only use for important folks! They were holding a six–year–old girl. That was your sister!”
Noelle looked down. As she expected, it matched the information Serena had found.
Her parents were from Kingstowne and were definitely people of high standing. Otherwise, no one would’ve treated them so respectfully.
And she… she had a sister.
A warm feeling slowly rose in her heart.
She had parents and a sister. They didn’t abandon her; she was kidnapped.
Maybe they had been looking for her all these years.
“I told you everything I know!” Willow screamed “Now let Viola go! Give me back my daughter!”
Noelle snapped out of her thoughts and looked at the pathetic woman on the floor. “I’m afraid I can’t do that.
“You said it yourself–people who are sent into those mountains never come out. I can’t help

Noelle slowly stood up, looking down on her. “Besides, do I need to keep my word with someone like you? When you sold someone else’s daughter, you didn’t even blink. Now that it’s your daughter, suddenly you’re crying and screaming?”
She stared at the collapsed Willow, her voice ice–cold. “Mrs. Kain, it hurts to realize you destroyed the girl you love most, right? Then did you ever think about how much pain my parents felt when you kidnapped me?
“They lost their daughter. For 18 years, that pain has been a hundred times worse than what you’re feeling right now.”
Noelle leaned in close, her cold stare hitting Willow like a knife. “What you’re feeling right now isn’t even a tiny fraction of what my parents have gone through for 20 years. But don’t worry, your nightmare is just beginning. Every bit of pain they felt, and every bit of pain I felt… I’m going to make you pay it all back.
“Bit by bit.”
Willow called the police, and they rushed out to track down the van.
But they were too late. Viola had already been dragged deep into the mountains. Jasper went with the officers to find her. When they found her, she had already been forced into a cheap wedding dress and pinned down on a bed by a man in his 50s.
