Chapter 259 You’re Not Worthy
When Holly saw Noelle standing outside the crowd, hatred instantly filled her eyes.
“Noelle!” she suddenly shrieked, charging forward. “This is all your fault! If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have-”

Eleanor and Quinna rushed in front of Noelle. Eleanor snapped, “Are you done yet?! You framed Noelle yourself, and now you’re blaming her? Have you no shame?!”
“Holly!” the counselor shouted. “Even now, you still won’t admit what you did!”
Richard hurriedly pulled Holly back, tears streaming down his cheeks. “Noelle, Holly doesn’t understand any better. We’ll apologize to you on her behalf…”
“Can an apology fix this?” Noelle asked calmly. “If I forgive her now, she’ll just hurt someone else next time.”
She turned to the counselor. “I support the school’s decision. This isn’t about revenge. It’s about protecting students who follow the rules.”
Richard’s calloused hands trembled even more when he heard that.
He looked at Noelle, voice shaking. “You’re right… Holly was wrong. But… you don’t know how hard it was for her to get into Kingstowne University…”
Jolene sobbed as she added, “That’s true. She has studied by candlelight since she was little. Even when her hands cracked from the cold, she wouldn’t stop writing. She’s the only one from our town who made it into Kingstowne University…”
“Sir, ma’am,” Noelle said gently but firmly. “Every year, Kingstowne University admits many students from poor backgrounds like Holly. But none of them hurt others just because they were poor.”
She looked straight at Holly. “If Holly truly understands her mistake, she can retake the SAT. With her abilities, getting back in next year isn’t impossible.”
But with Holly’s current mindset, she absolutely couldn’t stay at Kingstowne University.
Holly only glared at Noelle, showing no trace of remorse. Instead, she blamed everything on Noelle.
“That’s enough,” the counselor said, motioning to security. “Please leave the campus. Holly, go pack your things.”
Eleanor softened when she saw Holly’s parents leaning on each other. She whispered, “I do feel bad for her parents, but…”
“Pity and blame usually come together,” Quinna said, adjusting her glasses. “Holly ended up like this because of her own choices.”
Noelle watched the frail couple slowly walk away, supporting each other, and sighed softly.
Some people never learned to value what they had.
And some mistakes could never be undone.
Beep–beep-
Suddenly, Noelle’s phone rang.

She glanced at the screen. Roman was calling.
She answered it.
As the call connected, Roman’s cheerful voice came through. “Noelle, I’m not interrupting class, am I?”
“No, Mr. Haller. Class just ended.”

“That’s great,” he said warmly. “I have a favor to ask. An old friend of mine has been ill for years. He’s seen many doctors, but nothing has worked. Are you free this weekend to come take a look with me?”
Noelle checked the time. “This weekend is fine. But I can only assess him first. I can’t promise a cure.”
“Of course!” Roman replied quickly. “As long as you’re willing to see him, I’ll be grateful. How about Saturday morning? I’ll have th driver pick you up.”
“Sure.”
After hanging up, Roman stared at the screen, smiling widely.
The old friend he mentioned was Angus.
“Angus, it’s settled. Dr. Kain will come check on you this weekend,” Roman said happily.
