Felicia gritted her teeth. “Why wasn’t I accepted?!”

Noelle raised her hand, stopping the guards. Then she looked calmly at Felicia.

“You want to know why you weren’t accepted? Fine. I’ll tell

“Those papers… Did you write them?” Noelle tapped Felicia’s résumé and asked lightly.

“Of course!”

“Liar!” Noelle slammed the resume onto the table. “These papers were stolen from your seniors. You come from a famous medical family–you’re Dr. Hernandez’s daughter. You used that power to force father’s students to write these papers for you!

“Every paper is someone’s hard work. Someone like you, who steals the work of others and calls it your own, what makes you think you’re worthy of joining Alliance 749?”

Felicia’s face turned pale. How does Noelle know that?

Those papers were indeed written by her dad’s students. Her dad threatened them–if they didn’t write for her, he wouldn’t let them graduate. They were all poor students who didn’t dare fight back, so they agreed.

But she’d kept it all well hidden!

“To study medicine, first learn to be a decent person. Any field might tolerate deception, but never in medicine! Patients trust you with their lives. Are you going to fake it when someone’s life is on the line?”

Felicia felt humiliated. “You don’t even know medicine! How can you talk to me like that?!”

The four interviewers also laughed. It was their first time hearing someone say Noelle didn’t know medicine. “If the Miracle Healer doesn’t know medicine, then no one in this world does.”

Those three words hit Felicia like a bolt of lightning. She couldn’t believe her ears.

“The Miracle Healer?! You? Noelle?!”

Finally, security grabbed Felicia and dragged her out the door.

After leaving Alliance 749, Felicia was still in a daze.

Right then, Viola called her. “Felicia, how did it go? Did you pass the Alliance 749 interview?”

“I…” Felicia’s voice faltered.

Hearing her tone, Viola knew she hadn’t made it. She tried to comfort her. “Oh, if Alliance 749 didn’t accept you, that’s their loss. You’re amazing. Even without them, you’ll still shine.”

“Viola, do you know that Noelle is—”

Felicia wanted to say that Noelle knew medicine, that she was the Miracle Healer, and even the leader of Alliance 749.

But the words stuck in her throat.

She didn’t dare say it.

Outside the Alliance 749 building, Lucas sat inside a low–key black car, wearing sunglasses and dressed like a private detective. Excited, he called Sebastian, “I got a tip that the Miracle Healer is visiting the Riverdale branch today! I’m already here on stakeout!”
