Noelle carefully avoided the major nerves and blood vessels, cleaned up the broken tissue, repaired the damaged vessel walls, and stitched up the wound.
Every move was smooth and precise, as if she weren’t treating a life–threatening injury but creating a delicate piece of art.
Finally, when the last stitch was done, Serena’s life signs on the monitor, which had been weak and unstable, began to steady.
“Blood pressure is rising!”
“Oxygen levels are back up!”
“That’s amazing!”
A quiet cheer and relieved sighs filled the operating room.
Briar looked at Noelle with admiration. “Boss, you’ve done it again. Another miracle.”
Noelle took off her gloves and glanced at Serena, who was still unconscious but no longer pale and lifeless. Her tense expression finally softened a little. “The next 24 hours are critical. Keep her under close watch. Use the special medicine I brought and give it through an IV as instructed.”
“Got it!”
Noelle went over some final instructions for post–op care, then turned and left the operating room.
Sebastian and Lucas had been waiting outside. As soon as she came out, they hurried over.
“How is she?” Sebastian asked.
“She’s stable for now. Needs observation,” Noelle said simply, but anyone who knew her could hear a hint of relief in her tone.
“Dr. Lynch and the team will handle things here. We have to get to the homecoming party now.”
“Got it.” Sebastian nodded and immediately arranged the car.
Lucas checked the time. “There’s still enough time. Drive fast–we should make it to the opening.”
Without wasting another moment, the three of them left Alliance 749’s temporary base and drove onto the highway back to the city.
Meanwhile, in the lounge outside the Guzman Residence’s banquet hall, Alina was restless.
She tried calling Noelle again, but the phone was still off.
She couldn’t reach her.
She called her assistant she had sent out, her voice tense. “Have you found her yet? What’s going on?”
Her assistant on the other end sounded unsure. “Ms. Guzman, we … we just found a lead. About an hour ago, Ms. Kain’s car seemed

to have been followed, heading toward an abandoned factory area in the western suburbs
“What?!” Alina’s heart skipped a beat. “Then what happened to them?”

“Our people are on their way there, but… we just got word that on the side road leading to the factory area, there’s been a pretty serious accident. Three cars crashed, and one of them–an SUV–looks very similar in model and color to the one Ms. Kain was driving…”
The assistant’s voice was shaky.
Alina felt her brain go numb. It was like her blood froze instantly. “What did you say?! A car accident?! What about the people?! Are they okay?!”
“We don’t know the full details yet. The scene is chaotic. We heard… it’s pretty bad… Maybe two dead, one injured…” The assistant’s voice dropped lower and lower.
Two dead and one injured?!
Noelle… Sebastian… Lucas…
Alina’s vision went black for a moment, and her phone nearly slipped from her hands.
A wave of panic and guilt hit her like a tidal wave.
She hadn’t protected Noelle!
If Noelle really got hurt because of Viola’s scheme, she would never forgive herself in this lifetime!
She had already lost her sister once…
She could never lose her again!
‘Get the car ready! I’m going there now!” she shouted hoarsely, yanking on her coat as she rushed out.
As she stormed out of the lounge, she ran straight into Mary, who had been anxiously looking for her.
“Alina! Where are you going? The party is about to start…” Mary stopped mid–sentence when she saw Alina’s pale, panicked face. “What’s wrong? You look terrible!”
