Chapter 333 Reconsider
“Mr. Salinger! You’re here!”
“Mr. Salinger, it’s been ages!”
“You came to Mick’s concert too, Mr. Salinger? What a surprise!”
The man who had arrived was none other than the internationally renowned director, Terrence Salinger.

His films had won multiple major international awards. In the industry, his status was untouchable–someone actors and investors alike were desperate to get close to.
Hailey’s eyes lit up.
Her sister, Veronica, had landed a substantial female lead in one of Terrence’s films last year. Because of that, the Flynns had at least crossed paths with him before.
Hailey immediately smoothed her dress, put on what she thought was her sweetest, most appropriate smile, and stepped forward with the others crowding around him. Her voice turned soft and delicate. “Hello, Mr. Salinger. I’m Hailey Flynn, Veronica’s younger sister. We met briefly when I visited the set last time. I didn’t expect to run into you here tonight.”
Terrence was mid–conversation. He glanced at Hailey, clearly recognizing her faintly, and gave a polite nod, but nothing more. His eyes were already searching for something else.
Hailey felt a stab of disappointment.
Still, even getting a response felt more impressive than whatever was happening around Noelle.
This was an international director, after all.
The people surrounding Noelle were just some mid–level directors at best. Terrence was on a completely different level.
She was just about to say something else to build on the connection.
But the next second, Terrence’s gaze suddenly passed over everyone and landed squarely on Noelle, who was chatting with others nearby.
His serious expression broke instantly into open surprise and excitement. Without hesitation, he pushed past the people in front of him and strode straight toward Noelle.
“Dr. Kain! It really is you!” Terrence’s voice rang out, unable to hide his excitement, completely different from his earlier reserve. “I never imagined I’d run into you here. This is great!”
Under the stunned, shocked, and utterly disbelieving stares of everyone around, Terrence walked right up to Noelle like he’d just spotted an old friend or a lifesaver. He reached out first, his smile warm and genuine.
When Noelle saw him, she was speechless.
She’d only come along to keep her classmates company and watch a concert. And yet, familiar faces kept appearing one after
another.
“Hello, Mr. Salinger.” With a faint headache, Noelle still stood up and shook his hand politely.

“Hello!” Terrence beamed, then sat straight down beside her. “Hello, there. Is it alright if I sit here?”
The seat next to Noelle belonged to Eleanor. She nodded eagerly. “Yes! Of course! Please, sit! Please!”
She hurriedly scooted over, and the rest of the classmates shifted aside in perfect unison.
Terrence settled in, smiling broadly at Noelle. “Dr. Kain, I didn’t know you liked Mick’s music too. What a coincidence!”
Noelle gave a polite but distant nod. “I’m just here with my classmates.”
“Oh, good, good!” Terrence laughed. “A miracle doctor like you works far too hard. You should relax more!”
His attitude was almost overly warm, with a hint of eagerness.
Eleanor couldn’t hold it in anymore. She leaned closer and whispered, “Noelle … why is Mr. Salinger calling you ‘Dr. Kain‘? Y–you know medicine too?”
Noelle’s expression didn’t change as she answered casually, “I helped him with a minor health issue once. He’s just being polite.”
“I see…” Eleanor nodded, half–understanding, and didn’t press further.
Hailey was still standing there, completely ignored. Meanwhile, Terrence–who’d barely acknowledged her–was now sitting beside Noelle and smiling like he’d reunited with his family.
The scene made her chest tighten with humiliation and disbelief.
She stared at Noelle, nails digging into her palm. Who is she? Why her?
“Hey, are you sitting down or not? If not, stop blocking the view,” someone behind them complained.
“Hailey, let’s just sit,” one of her entourage urged quietly.
They tugged her down into her seat.
“This woman seems dangerous,” one of them whispered. “She’s sitting front row, and even Mr. Salinger is so respectful to her. Maybe we shouldn’t provoke her.”
“How impressive can she really be?” Hailey sneered, looking down on Noelle.
“Veronica is a rising star with millions of fans, and Claire is about to be matched with the Guzmans‘ eldest son. Once that marriage happens, the Flynns will be in–laws with the Guzmans. Who does she think she is?”
The Flynns were just a minor family in Kingstowne, but Hailey dared to be this arrogant because her sister Claire was about to be set up with Jonathan.
That was the Guzmans, the most powerful family in Kingstowne.
Once Claire married Jonathan, Hailey would be able to walk around with her head held high everywhere.
Thinking this way soothed her somewhat. She decided not to bother with Noelle for now and sat back like a proud peacock
Meanwhile, Terrence clearly wasn’t done with Noelle.
Before the show officially began, he leaned closer, lowering his voice, sincerity and anticipation pouring through every word
