She lifted her eyes and looked at Alina.

“I’m fine. Just a little spill.” Noelle spoke calmly, her tone giving nothing away.

She didn’t like Mary’s blatant favoritism or the way she lashed out so harshly. That kind of unequal treatment made her uncomfortable.

Mary, however, wasn’t done. She kept scolding, “You’re an adult already, and you’re still this careless! No grace at all! Look at Noey -so composed…”

People nearby were starting to glance over. Alina’s face flushed with embarrassment. She glanced at the reddened skin on Noelle’s hand and said quietly, “I’m going to the restroom.”

I’ll arrange the location, equipment, crew–everything! It won’t interfere with your regular life at all. You just need to show up!”
