Chapter 368 The Last Name on the List
“Maybe we should ask Mr. Menzie for help?” one man said hesitantly. “Mr. Menzie might have a way.”
The Mr. Menzie he meant was Sebastian.
Greg wavered for a moment. Yes, maybe Sebastian could help. But the thought barely surfaced before he shut it down.
No. They couldn’t go to Sebastian.
Ethan and Sebastian had never gotten along. Would Sebastian really help them?
What if he deliberately interfered instead?
He’d returned to Kingstowne so suddenly. Who was to say he wasn’t eyeing the Menzies fortune himself?
Greg clenched his teeth. “Has the encrypted email been decrypted yet?”
Ethan had specifically mentioned the encrypted email. There had to be something in it.
“It’s still decrypting. It should be done soon.”
“Do it faster.”
It was late at Melrose Manor.
Noelle and Sebastian had gone to bed.
They were woken again by Primo and Duo knocking at the door.
Noelle had been sleeping soundly. Being disturbed left her groggy, her brows knitting together.
Sebastian gently kissed her forehead. “Be good. Go back to sleep. I’ll go take a look.”
“Okay,” Noelle murmured, wrapping herself in the blanket and drifting off again.
Sebastian put on his coat and stepped outside. Seeing the grave expressions on Primo and Duo, he asked hoarsely, “What is it?” Primo hurried to explain. “Mr. Menzie, something seems to have happened at Menzie Estate.”
The traces of sleepiness vanished instantly from Sebastian’s face. Cold light flashed through his dark eyes. “What happened?”
Meanwhile, Greg was at his limit. Another hour passed. Dawn was approaching. If they delayed any longer, both Theodore and Ethan would be in grave danger.
They’d considered forcing their way in, but even if they subdued Royce and Olivia, they couldn’t guarantee Theodore’s safety.
“Greg! The email’s decrypted!”

Suddenly, someone shouted in excitement.
The voice came out louder than intended.
The guards outside the villa glanced over but saw nothing. They assumed they’d imagined it.
They must’ve thought it was just tired workers on a night shift.
“Keep it down!” Greg snapped, clapping a hand over the man’s mouth.

Realizing his mistake, the man lowered his voice. “The contents are decrypted. Julian sent it to your phone. Take a look.”
Greg unlocked his phone and opened the email. The encryption was gone.
On the screen were several concise instructions and contact details. One line stood out in bold.
“In an emergency, if I lose contact or am restrained, the person who can be trusted unconditionally and sought for help is Sebastian.”
When they saw the words “trusted unconditionally,” Greg and the core members around him froze. A complicated shock surged through them.
Everyone knew that Ethan and Sebastian, cousins separated by years of resentment, were not close. They were like oil and fire.
And yet, at the brink of despair, Ethan had placed his final hope and trust on Sebastian.
How much resolve did that take? And how much trust?
It seemed the relationship between Ethan and Sebastian wasn’t as bad as people believed.
But there was no time for reflection.
Greg made a swift decision. He put his phone away, his gaze sharpening. “Let’s go. To Melrose Manor. We’re finding Sebastian.”
Meanwhile, Primo finished reporting everything they’d uncovered on Sebastian’s side. “Mr. Menzie, a large number of unfamiliar people have suddenly appeared around the estate. Security there is unusually tight. We tried contacting several of our informants inside, all of them are out of contact.” He paused. “We suspect something’s happened at Menzie Estate. And it’s very likely aimed at Mr. Theodore.”
Sebastian’s expression darkened instantly. A fierce chill surged in his black eyes.
He knew those people all too well, especially his uncle Royce. Greedy and ruthless.
They’d always coveted the Menzies fortune. Now that he was staying in Kingstowne long–term, Royce might have been pushed to desperation.
“Investigate immediately,” Sebastian ordered sharply. “I want to know exactly what’s happening inside right now. Contact everyone we have nearby and put them on standby.”
“Yes,” Primo replied, turning to carry out the order.
At that moment, Duo rushed in from outside, his expression strange and edged with disbelief. “Mr. Menzie! You should come out
