“So even Dr. Kain is here too! Haha, Dr. Kain, it’s all thanks to you–otherwise I never would’ve been able to invite our great actor
here!”
“Because of me?” Noelle looked at Mick in confusion.
Mick quietly turned his face away. He definitely hadn’t come because of Noelle. It was just that this was her first time on a show, and he worried she might get pushed around. So he had reluctantly come along to keep an eye on things.
“And Dr. Mayer is here as well! Thank you for honoring my little program with your presence,” Terrence said warmly, then quickly pulled Noelle over to introduce her to Steve. “Oh, right, Dr. Mayer, this is the Noelle I mentioned to you before–Dr. Kain! Her medical skills are truly something else!”
He raised a big thumbs–up. “The two of you should talk more, exchange ideas!”
Steve looked at Noelle, who was far too young–she even had a faint, student–like air about her–and his brows immediately
twisted into a knot.
Terrence had mentioned there would be a very capable young practitioner on the show, but he hadn’t expected her to be this
young!
A miracle healer?
And he was supposed to “exchange ideas” with a little girl like this on camera?
To him, this was an insult to his decades–long medical career.
He eyed Noelle with clear displeasure. “Noelle? How old are you this year?”
“Twenty. I just started my freshman year,” Noelle answered calmly.
“Does your family come from a long line of holistic doctors?”
Hearing that she was only a freshman made Steve even more unhappy, though he still asked.
Perhaps she had studied medicine since childhood and had real talent.
But Noelle shook her head again. “No. I’m self–taught.”
Self–taught. Twenty years old Still in her first year o
f college.
And someone like this was being called a miracle doctor by Terrence?
Steve could no longer hold back. “Mr. Salinger, are you sure you didn’t make a mistake? Holistic medicine is deep ant complex it? takes years of study and hands on experience. This isn’t something you can just play around with ”
Holistic medicine demanded experience. This little girl looked barely twenty what could she possibly know?
Seeing this, Maisy felt secretly delighted. Sure enough, Noelle didn’t seem to have any real skift Even Stave looked down on he
Noelle, however, seemed not to hear the sharp edge in Steve’s words. She merely glanced at tum calmly and nodded, “Dr. Mayer is right. Holistic medicine does require years of study”

Terrence quickly smoothed things over. “Ah, Steve, Noelle may be young, but she’s truly capable! Once you interact more during the show, you’ll see! Alright, everyone get ready–we’re about to start filming!”
The site was set up at a fairly open threshing ground in the village, where several simple consultation tables had been temporarily arranged.
Hearing that city “miracle healers” and “big celebrities” were offering free medical consultations, many residents gathered early, including quite a few who had been troubled by chronic illnesses and stubborn issues for years.
A long line quickly formed in front of Steve’s table.
He was well–known and older, so the residents naturally trusted him more.
Steve carried himself with authority, carefully observing, listening, and checking pulses. From time to time, he stroked his beard and spoke in medical terms the residents couldn’t quite understand, but which sounded very impressive, drawing looks of admiration from those around him.
Meanwhile, Noelle’s table was cold and quiet. Only a few curious residents stood nearby watching, but no one stepped forward.
They looked at her youthful face, then at the bulging canvas bag beside her that didn’t match the image of a miracle healer at all, and felt doubtful.
Mick stood beside Noelle and frowned almost imperceptibly, thinking these residents really had no eye for talent.
Jeffrey was warm–hearted and loved stirring things up. Seeing Noelle sitting there alone, looking a bit pitiful, he grinned and strolled over, plopping himself down into the consultation chair across from her.
“Dr. Kain, right? Come on, take a look at me! Lately I’ve been feeling… hmm, kind of low on energy!”
He wiggled his eyebrows and deliberately put on an exhausted look, trying to support Noelle and create some on–screen
entertainment.
Noelle lifted her eyes to glance at him. Without asking anything, she gestured for him to extend his wrist.
Jeffrey happily held out his hand. Noelle gently placed three fingers on his pulse and focused for a moment.
