Fake Heiress Reborn Drops Masks Finds Family (Noelle and Sebastian) novel Chapter 4

Sebastian slept for a full seven hours!

When he woke up, he felt light and better than he ever had.

He moved. His hand brushed against the girl's soft arm.

He opened his eyes and looked at her.

She was sleeping with her head tilted, her neck resting against the back of the sofa. As if afraid of crushing him, her arms were held carefully on either side of his body.

He slept on her lap all night.

That was ridiculous.

He stared at her for a few seconds before trying to sit up, but the movement woke Noelle, who was sleeping restlessly.

"Sebastian... "

She mumbled his name even in her sleep.

Noelle had been dreaming of Sebastian's tragic death in her past life. She couldn't help but call his name, and her eyes suddenly snapped open!

She looked into Sebastian's complicated and scrutinizing eyes.

"Honey! You're awake!"

Noelle was overjoyed. "How do you feel? Are you still uncomfortable anywhere?"

Sebastian's eyes were deep. "No."

"Phew, that's good. I'm so glad you're okay!"

Noelle was happy. She stretched her stiff arms and neck a little.

"You stayed like that all night?"

"Yeah!" Noelle nodded. "I didn't dare move! You were sleeping so soundly. I was afraid you would wake up if I moved! You must be really busy and never get a good night's sleep. Just look at those dark circles under your eyes!"

As she spoke, she reached out and gently touched the area under Sebastian's eye. Her soft, warm fingertips made his eyelashes twitch slightly.

He called Primo and Duo in and told Noelle to go back to her room to rest.

Noelle had something she needed to do in her room, so she obediently left.

Lucas came in to check Sebastian's condition.

He hadn't dared to leave Melrose Manor all night, worried something might happen if Sebastian woke up suddenly. But Sebastian slept better than anyone!

"Sebastian, you actually slept a full seven hours!" Lucas checked on his condition, shocked. "And six and a half hours were deep sleep!"

This was the best sleep Sebastian had gotten since he was poisoned.

For over a year, they tried everything to help him sleep, but nothing worked unless they used medication—and even then, he could only sleep two or three hours. But last night, he slept for seven whole hours, simply lying on that woman's lap!

What kind of magic did that woman have?

Primo and Duo were practically in tears. Their boss finally got a good night's rest, and just like that, they weren't as against Noelle anymore.

Sebastian's eyes were dark. "She has this really light scent. It's calming. Maybe that's why I slept so long."

"A scent? Like perfume?" Lucas got excited. "If she can help you sleep, keep her around. I'll try to figure out what perfume she's using and see if we can buy it somewhere."

"I've only got about two years left. Why waste it sleeping? I'd rather use the time for something that matters."

Sebastian's defeated tone made Lucas's face darken. "Don't say that! The poison can be cured! As long as we find The Miracle Healer, you'll be saved! I've already contacted Alliance 749. They'll definitely find them!"

The Miracle Healer was the most mysterious person in the medical world. They could bring people back from the dead with just a silver needle. But they were so secretive, nobody even knew if they were a man or a woman.

In her past life, Serena told her the same thing—to cut ties with the Kains. But Noelle didn't listen. She insisted on trusting and helping the Kains, even angering Serena until she left for abroad, which ultimately left Noelle isolated, helpless, and dead.

"You're right. They aren't worth it. I have nothing to do with them anymore." Noelle took a deep breath. "Serena, I contacted you because I need a favor."

"Don't be so formal with me. Just tell me. What do you need?"

"I need you to find a medicinal herb for me. Wanderroot. It's extremely important. I need it as fast as possible. I'll pay for the expense, manpower, resources, or money!"

Sebastian's illness could be cured, but she was still missing one herb. She had to find it soon so that she could remove the toxins from his body and get him back on his feet!

"Got it. I'll have people look for it." Serena agreed immediately. "Now that you've moved out of the Kains' place, where are you staying? Want to use my villa in Riverdale?"

"I already found a place, so I won't trouble you." Noelle scratched her chin. She didn't dare say she was living with Sebastian as his wife-in-name. Given Serena's personality, she'd flip out!

"Serena, I still have things to do. I'll hang up first."

"Fine, fine, I know you're busy with school. Go ahead." Serena laughed, teasing her. "No one would believe The Miracle Healer is just a high school senior."

Noelle smiled and hung up.

She was genuinely tired. So much had happened since her rebirth. She set her phone aside and drifted off almost immediately.

She slept until after two in the afternoon. She walked downstairs feeling refreshed and saw Sebastian's tall figure sitting on the sofa, reading an e-newspaper.

He was wearing a dark sweater, leaning back on the leather sofa with a tablet in hand. His long, knuckled fingers curled around the metal edge of the tablet, and the text on the screen scrolled slowly downward as his fingertip glided across its surface. His lashes lowered, the light casting a clean shadow along his high nose. He looked cool and effortlessly elegant.

Wow.

So handsome!

"Honey, good afternoon!" she greeted him excitedly.

He lifted his eyes to look at her, nodded, and calmly returned to what he was doing.
