Viola, blushing, also called out softly, “Mr. Lucas.”

Lucas ignored them. His gaze stayed fixed on Lily.

Lily forced herself to stay calm and said, “Mr. Lucas, this woman damaged the clothes in the store. They’re worth at least 200,000 dollars. She can’t afford this, so I was going to call the police to handle the situation.”

“Oh?”

Lucas raised his brows and glanced at Noelle with a faint smile. “You’re saying she damaged the clothes and can’t pay?”

And this was her husband’s mall. She had rotten luck.

The easy back–and–forth between Lucas and Noelle made one thing very clear: they knew each other well. Lily stood frozen, as if struck by lightning.
