Felicia watched Roman get into the ambulance, then watched Noelle walk away. She bit her lip so hard it almost bled.
What did that old man know?
I was the one who saved him!
Without me, he would’ve died!
Noelle only stole my credit at the last second!
Even now, Felicia refused to believe Noelle knew anything about medicine–let alone that she might be better than her. To her, that idea was impossible and ridiculous.
She had known Noelle for more than ten years. Does Noelle know medical skills? That was pure nonsense.
Noelle walked out of the night market.
“Miss, wait a moment.”
A deep, old but powerful voice came from behind.
Noelle stopped and turned. An elderly man was walking toward her with quick steps.
She recognized him right away. Her brow lifted a little.
It was Lucas’s grandfather, Ronald Steele.
Since the Steele Medical House was nearby, it wasn’t surprising that he was here.
“Miss, I saw everything you did to save that man, Ronald said, eyes full of awe. “What you used… was that the long–lost 13 Revival Points? I can’t believe someone so young could have skills like that!”
Noelle stayed calm and nodded lightly. “You’re too kind.”
Ronald rubbed his hands nervously, full of excitement. “I’m Ronald Steele. I run a clinic on the corner up ahead. May I … have your contact information?”
Noelle thought for a moment, then gave him one of her spare numbers.

“And, uh… may I ask your name?” Ronald asked eagerly.
Noelle paused. “You can call me Ms. Kain.”
She didn’t plan to say more.

Since Ronald was Lucas’s grandfather, he would definitely tell Lucas. And she didn’t want her secret to spread.
For years, everyone saw her as useless. If she suddenly showed amazing medical skill, people would question everything. She had just married into Melrose Manor and was still building trust with Sebastian. She didn’t want him to doubt her yet.
After leaving the night market, Noelle headed straight to the mall to buy some clothes. She’d been out for a long time, so she figured she should bring something home.
At Melrose Manor …
“Sebastian!” Lucas ran in holding a small perfume bottle like it were a treasure. “I made this myself! I think it smells like Noelle. Tell me–when you sniff it, do you feel sleepy?”
Before he even finished, he shoved the bottle under Sebastian’s nose.
Sebastian frowned and leaned back after a light sniff. “Not the same.”
The scent was totally different from Noelle’s calming fragrance–the one that could settle his nerves. This one was sharp… almost irritating.
But he didn’t say that. He didn’t want to crush Lucas’s confidence.
Lucas looked disappointed, but he bounced back fast.
It’s okay! I’ll just try again!
Sebastian’s phone buzzed on the table. He picked it up and saw a new message–from Noelle.
“Honey, I used your card to buy some stuff.”
He replied with one word. “Okay.”
Girls usually had strong shopping power. Spending a big amount at once was normal. He had placed a few hundred million dollars on that card for her. It should be more than enough. If it wasn’t, he would simply refill it.
Just as he thought that, his phone started vibrating nonstop. Bank alerts popped up one after
