Sebastian was clearly growing impatient.
What he had thought would be an easy collaboration had yet to yield satisfactory results, and now Lillian had become an obstacle.
Suddenly, Sebastian felt that his decision not to finalize the divorce a while back had been an incredibly wise one.
“Sebastian, what are you going to do about this now?” Bella’s voice pulled him from his thoughts.
He glanced at Bella in the passenger seat, his tone flat. “I’ll take you home first.”
With that, he started the car and headed toward the Mercer family villa.
“Sebastian,” Bella said, “my mother and I moved out of the Mercer house recently. We’re staying at a hotel. You know about my mother and Mr. Mercer... their relationship isn't official, so Mr. Mercer plans to finalize his divorce first and then marry my mother.”
Sebastian just grunted in acknowledgment, offering no opinion. He changed direction and drove her to the hotel instead.
Taking the opportunity, Bella pulled out a card and handed it to him. “Here’s the six million you fronted for Lillian’s necklace repair. I’ve gathered the money. There’s no PIN. I think it’s only right that I pay for it.”
Sebastian glanced at the card. “Six million is no small sum for you. You don’t need to pay me back. I said I’d cover it. Keep it. Just focus on your work at the company and with Noah, and that will be enough to help me.”
Sebastian didn’t care about a mere six million.
He now commanded the colossal Blake Group. Money made money; it had long ceased to be a major concern for him.
Spending six million to solve Bella’s problem and secure her loyalty was a very worthwhile investment for him.

Ever since Lillian had agreed to sign the papers for Martin and Eleanor’s divorce, there had been no further news.
Martin had waited anxiously for a week, but the signed documents from the Lancaster family elders had yet to arrive.
Sabrina had been delighted when she first received the diamond ring, but after several days with no progress, she was clearly growing impatient.
When Martin came home from work that day, he was in a foul mood, finding fault with everything.
Seeing his father’s displeasure, Brandon quickly went over to him.
“Dad, what’s wrong? Is something at home bothering you these past few days?”
“What’s going on with your sister?” Martin grumbled. “She promised she would go get the signatures from the Lancaster elders. A week has passed with no word. What is she playing at?”
Brandon understood.
Still, they had waited all these years. Why was it that now, they couldn’t even wait a few more days?
Everyone knew what Lillian's situation was right now.
“Dad, Lillian’s company seems to be doing well. She’s probably too busy to get to it.
“Isn't there a rumor that a tech legend has joined her company?
