Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 491

They were really going to live together.

Butler Nathan was still beside her, explaining, “Ms. Paisley lives in the adjacent building, not far from here. You can take the shuttle cart over.”

“The estate has a live-in family doctor, and the maids have all been with us for a long time, so you have nothing to worry about, Miss Dennis. If you need anything, you can just ask for Wilma or me.”

After finishing his explanation, Butler Nathan turned and left, leaving Emilia to look around on her own.

Emilia gazed at the walk-in closet and all the things Theodore had specially prepared for her and Bella over the past few days, and a warmth spread through her heart.

He really was a very thoughtful person.

And his actions made her feel that he was serious about wanting to spend the rest of his life with her.

Emilia went into the study. The view was excellent; from the window, she could see the manor’s courtyard.

It was designed in a classic style, and she could even see large, plump goldfish swimming in a pond.

Emilia hugged the chubby ragdoll cat in her arms and smiled.

It seemed like any small animal Theodore raised ended up plump.

He was the same way with her.

He often said she was too thin and urged her to eat more.

It was as if he wanted to fatten her up.

Apparently, it was a personal hobby of his.

Emilia returned to her bedroom and lay on the bed, feeling like this was all a bit surreal.

She had never imagined being with anyone other than Tyler.

But now, it was real. She was going to live with Theodore.

It was a novel feeling.

Emilia’s lips curved into a slight smile. This was good, too.

That evening, Theodore came home carrying a box.

Emilia and Bella were playing in the new playroom.

Emilia nodded without thinking much of it, her gaze fixed on Bella, occasionally wiping her mouth.

A gentle breeze brushed through her hair. In the light of the setting sun, her profile was beautiful.

He felt like a husband coming home from work with treats for his wife.

Theodore’s heart felt like it was filled with a balloon—full and deeply content.

The day passed in this warm and peaceful manner.

Bella was tired from playing all day and quickly fell asleep in her little bed.

After watching Bella fall asleep, Emilia finally came out.

She took a shower, changed into her pajamas, and had just stepped out when she ran into Theodore, who had also just showered and was coming out for a glass of water.

He was wearing casual pajamas, and the ends of his hair were still dripping.

They met face-to-face like that.

The house was quiet, and the two of them just looked at each other in the hallway.
