It was already so late…
Tyler got into the driver’s seat, started the car, and sped away.
First, Tyler drove to the building where her office was located.
He rushed upstairs, only to find she wasn't working late. The office lights were off, the space dark and empty.
Tyler’s lips tightened.
He went back downstairs and drove to Alden General Hospital.
After learning that Felix was out of the country for a conference, he made his way to Joyce’s office.
He confirmed she was on the night shift, which meant Emilia wasn't there.
Frustrated.
Tyler then called Owen to find out Christian’s location.
He learned Christian was drinking at Prism Ivy House, alone.
Tyler then went to The Glenn Group's headquarters. Theodore and Emilia weren't there.
Tyler checked every possible place Emilia could be.
But she was nowhere to be found.
Ahead was the second to last location.
It was the place he had found out Paisley was staying.
But the news he received was that Paisley had already left.
When he pressed for more information, a hotel employee said, “Someone came to help her move her things. I heard she moved into some big estate, somewhere to the east.”
East, a large estate.
Tyler sat back in his car and closed his eyes.
That was the location of Glenn Manor.
He had checked everywhere. This was the only place left.
The car drove all the way to the gates of Glenn Manor.
Tyler looked up at the estate.
It was beautiful, a quiet retreat within the bustling city.
Was she really here?
Had she really… moved in with Theodore?
He had deliberately stayed in the house opposite Emilia’s rental just to confirm, time and again, whether she let Theodore in.
Confirmation after confirmation, fueled by wishful thinking, until her sudden move plunged him into a profound sense of panic.
When Emilia opened her eyes, the sky was already bright.
She paused for a moment, then remembered where she was.
A smile touched her lips as she got up, slipped on her slippers, and went to get ready.
People were already bustling about in the manor.
Wilma was leading the staff in the morning cleaning.
Seeing Emilia, Wilma smiled and said, “Miss Dennis, breakfast is ready. You can go wash up, and I’ll go wake Bella.”
Emilia nodded, and so the new day began.
As Emilia was leaving with Theodore, who was carrying Bella, she suddenly felt like someone was watching her.
She glanced back, puzzled, but saw nothing.
Strange.
Emilia frowned slightly and turned her gaze forward.
On the other side, Tyler and his car had been intercepted by The Glenn Group’s security.
He could only watch, helpless, as the family of three over there, laughing and talking, got into their car.
Happy and intimate.
