Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 494

He went downstairs and crossed to the other building.

Tyler had just been wondering why he hadn't seen Theodore's men recently. Now, as he walked into the lobby, no one came to stop him.

This discovery made Tyler even more uneasy.

He had only been at his other apartment for a few days. How had everything changed, leaving him the only one who knew nothing?

With that thought, Tyler stepped into the elevator. As the floor numbers climbed, his heart grew increasingly tense.

Ding!

With the sound of the elevator, Tyler arrived at the floor of Emilia's former apartment.

He walked down the hall to her door.

The door was open.

Tyler walked straight in.

“…Yes, the ventilation is excellent. The previous tenant loved it. If it weren’t for…” a man’s voice was saying.

“Where is she?” Tyler interrupted the agent who was showing the apartment to a prospective tenant.

The agent turned around, confused, and looked at Tyler.

“Excuse me, are you?” The agent paused, then seemed to recognize him.

The woman beside him also widened her eyes. “You’re…”

But Tyler paid them no mind, his eyes locked firmly on the agent.

The agent thought for a moment before understanding what Tyler meant.

“Are you referring to the previous tenant who lived here?” the agent asked.

Tyler nodded, his gaze still fixed on the agent.

“Mr. Erickson, I’m not sure about that. I’m just an agent. All I know is that this apartment became available, and I’m showing it,” the agent said.

“Became available?” Tyler repeated the agent's words, a storm of emotions churning inside him.

“Yes.” The agent glanced at the woman and then said, “The previous tenant terminated her lease and moved out.”

It seemed to take Tyler a moment to comprehend the meaning of the agent's words.

She moved out.
