How could Cindy possibly think about food right now?
The Donovan family had been going through a lot recently. Christian was at the family estate handling matters today and had specifically told her about Emilia’s condition, asking her to take good care of her. Theodore had even given her a hefty bonus. And now…
Emilia could see what Cindy was thinking. “Don’t overthink it,” she said reassuringly.
It wasn’t Cindy’s fault. It was Tyler’s.
After saying that, Emilia felt her strength failing her and left with Theodore.
Cindy remained where she was.
Theodore’s men were still there, blocking Tyler from leaving.
Fuming, Cindy stormed into the dressing room area.
Tyler had been helped back into his wheelchair. Someone was handing him a cloth to wipe away the cold sweat that had beaded on his forehead from the pain.
Cindy strode forward.
*Smack!*
She swung her hand and slapped Tyler hard across the face.
His men immediately swarmed around her. Cindy’s heart hammered against her ribs, but she stood her ground, defiantly meeting Tyler’s furious gaze.
She was just a regular person with a job.
Normally, she would never dare to confront these powerful figures, especially not Tyler, the president of The Erickson Group.
The Erickson Group was the top of the three corporate giants in Alden City.
But she was also a person with feelings, with a sense of loyalty.
Ever since she met Emilia during *Voice of the Divine*, Emilia had always been good to her.
In the beginning, when Cindy hadn't known the full story, she had praised Vivienne in front of Emilia, but Emilia never held it against her. In fact, Emilia was easier to work with than many other celebrities and paid her better than a typical assistant.
Slowly, she had come to see Emilia as a friend.
She knew rushing in here was impulsive, but she didn’t regret it.
“You’re shameless, Tyler!” Cindy seethed.
