She had been waiting for news from Felix, but she had also told him it was okay if he found nothing. She was already prepared for him to come back empty-handed, just like Christian’s friend had.
She never imagined things would escalate to this point, where Felix could even face prison time.
It was her fault.
Besides, this was something she should have done herself from the beginning.
Felix opened his mouth to say something, but Emilia looked at him with such earnestness.
“Alright,” Felix conceded, understanding her resolve.
Tyler was still standing there, watching her from a distance, the safe in his hand.
He was about to say something when suddenly—
“Well, isn't this a party?” a woman’s voice called out.
Everyone turned.
It was Vivienne.
Vivienne walked over, followed by her assistant, who was hastily carrying equipment.
The assistant was also holding a device for the livestream.
Understanding Emilia’s intention, Theodore quickly pushed Felix into the car, keeping him out of the camera’s view.
Vivienne walked over, smiling as she looked at everyone present.
“What’s everyone doing here?” Vivienne stopped and looked at Emilia, who was wrapped in her coat. “Emilia, shouldn’t you be at your concert? What brings you here?”
Theodore frowned, about to step forward, but Emilia placed a hand on his arm, stopping him.
Seeing this, Vivienne immediately put on a pitiful expression, looking frightened.
Tyler was about to speak, but Vivienne turned to him. “Tyler, are you going to side with her, too?”
Her question left Tyler in an awkward position.
Then, she added, “Emilia, what are you planning to do to me now?”
The livestream camera was rolling as Emilia watched Vivienne’s performance.
“I am planning to do something,” Emilia said.
