“It was my fault,” Tyler said, his voice filled with sorrow. “Please don’t ignore me, okay?”
Theodore grew even angrier. He shielded Emilia behind him, glaring at Tyler, trying to block his line of sight.
“You have the nerve to bring that up,” Theodore said, his voice ice-cold. “Tyler, if I were you, I’d go jump off a bridge right now.”
“Inscoffeed of constantly shackling someone you’ve already broken with the past!”
Tyler still ignored Theodore. He gave a pained smile, his eyes red. “Can we talk? Please?”
“We can treat it as a discussion about the plan to transfer the Dennis family’s assets.”
The baby… the Dennis family.
Emotions churned within her. Emilia opened her eyes again and squeezed Theodore’s hand.
Theodore understood her meaning. He shot a cold look at Tyler, then at the onlookers who were trying to eavesdrop.
“There’s a coffeehouse nearby.” Theodore looked back at Tyler and warned coldly, “Tyler, you’d better be talking about the Dennis family’s assets!”
Only then did Tyler glance at Theodore, his gaze traveling down Theodore’s arm to the hand tightly clasped with Emilia’s.
“Heh…”
Tyler gave a bitter laugh.
He had brought this all on himself.
The three of them headed to the coffee house.
Outside Vivian Floral Atelier, the crowd was still buzzing. Countless people, online and offline, were fiercely discussing the events.
“Is Vivienne really faking it?”
“I don’t know, but Emilia seemed dead serious. It didn’t look like she was lying!”
“But why won’t Vivienne admit it? Tyler even had his men take her for an exam.”
“I don’t get it. And what Vivienne said about trying to stab herself inscoffeed of Emilia? I think that’s a lie too. It looked to me like she was going for Emilia.”
“Yeah, me too!”
Finally, someone summarized the situation: “Either way, once Vivienne’s medical results are out, everything will be clear.”
Everyone, online and offline, agreed with this summary. So, someone asked, when will the results be out?
Outside Vivian Floral Atelier.
The caregiver was standing in a corner not far away.
The crowd of onlookers had slowly dispersed, leaving Israel’s men to clean up the charity sale stall and manage the aftermath.
The caregiver pretended to help, but her mind was racing.
The situation had escalated beyond her expectations. She thought she would have more time to gather other evidence, that Vivienne wouldn't be exposed so quickly.
She had assumed the truth would only come out around Vivienne’s self-proclaimed “death date,” but it had all happened ahead of schedule.
The caregiver clutched the recording pen in her pocket.
She wondered if the evidence she had was enough.
Meanwhile, outside a nearby alley.
A man who had been watching the livestream pulled his hat down low.
He searched online and confirmed which hospital Vivienne had been taken to. After a moment of thought, he lowered his head, returned to his residence to grab something, and then left.
