Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 603

He was the only one refusing to let go.

"I'm going to officially propose to her," Theodore said, breaking into his thoughts. "I want to give her the wedding she deserves."

Felix kept his eyes locked on Christian, not turning his head.

"Her father passed away a long time ago."

Theodore continued, "When the day comes, I want you to step into that role. I want you to walk her down the aisle and hand her to me."

Felix slowly turned to face Theodore, a sudden thickness in his throat.

Theodore offered a warm smile, clapping a hand on his shoulder.

He poured a fresh cup of tea and handed it to him.

This time, Felix took the cup.

"Alright," Felix agreed softly.

The rich aroma of the tea hit his senses, warming him from the inside out.

He finished the drink in silence.

At that exact moment, the heavy burden in his chest finally lifted. He was done.

Across the room, Christian and Joyce, who had been deliberately talking loudly, shared a knowing look.

A collective wave of relief washed over them.

Especially for Joyce.

She had been torn between her best friend and her brother.

The tension had been eating her alive for days.

She was terrified of losing either of them.

Terrified of being forced to choose sides.

Thank god everything was finally settled.

"Who's ready to taste my cooking tonight?" Felix asked, standing up.

"I wouldn't say no to that," Theodore stood up, leading Felix toward the pantry to check their ingredients.

Joyce pulled her gaze away, feeling lighter than she had in weeks. She nudged Christian. "So, who's the lucky girl you've got your eye on?"

Christian rolled his eyes.

"Don't get ahead of yourself. We're just testing the waters," he scoffed. "What about you? How are things going with Jayden?"

Joyce grinned, remaining tight-lipped.
