Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 606

They cleared the air.

Joyce finally put her doubts to rest.

From inside the house, the others called them in for dinner.

The two of them headed back, carrying the cat.

But just before they stepped through the door, a mischievous glint flashed in Joyce's eyes.

She leaned in close and whispered something in Emilia's ear.

Emilia's face instantly flushed crimson.

"Joyce!" Emilia gasped, immediately reaching out to pinch her arm.

Joyce giggled and darted inside, hiding behind Felix.

The house was filled with their playful banter.

Across the room, the Ragdoll cat had wandered back to Bella and George Glenn, staring up at them.

The pair was busy tinkering with the cat's exercise wheel.

The little feline loved to run on it whenever it had the chance.

"Meow."

The Ragdoll let out a soft cry.

On the other side of the room, Theodore pulled out a light tube just as the doorbell rang. The butler opened the door, and Raymond walked in.

He was carrying a bag of things with him.

Seeing the group messing with the exercise wheel, he walked over to join them.

Eventually, they managed to rig the wheel into a cat-powered generator.

Ella Glenn grabbed a feather wand, teasing the cat to make it run.

"Meow!"

The chubby Ragdoll looked utterly exasperated but started trotting along anyway.

As the wheel spun, the small light attached to the side flickered on.

Everyone gathered around to watch.

Remembering something, Raymond pulled out the wooden fox carving he had been working on.

He had recently hollowed out the center, turning it into an intricate, hollow silhouette.

He carefully placed it over the light tube.

It fit perfectly.

Illuminated by the light, a massive shadow of a fox was cast against the surrounding walls.

"Perfect!"

Seven snapped a picture of the scene, while Jayden shielded Joyce, keeping Emilia from tickling her.

Everything was just right.

It was a beautiful evening.

They all took their seats and began to eat dinner.

When she glanced back at Felix, he had already looked away.

He was busy chatting with Joyce beside him.

Emilia felt a warm sense of relief.

This was how it was supposed to be.

They could still be friends.

...

Meanwhile.

Tyler had arrived at Vivienne's hospital room.

By now, Vivienne had finished all her tests and was confined to the room.

The results would be out shortly, and she was frantically texting Jack, stirring up a storm online.

The door opened, and Vivienne looked up.

She thought it was Israel Jensen and was fully prepared to scream at him.

But before the words left her mouth, she saw Tyler's pale, haggard face.

Tyler was in a wheelchair, being pushed in by his assistant.

As their eyes met, Vivienne immediately pouted, ready to put on the waterworks.

"Tyler, Israel did..." Vivienne rambled on, complaining about how Israel had forced her into the tests, but Tyler simply sat in his wheelchair, remaining completely silent.

He quietly watched her performance.
