The baby...
Tyler clenched his fists until his knuckles turned white.
That was the child he had always desperately wanted.
Gone, just like that.
Emilia had given up on him completely and wanted absolutely nothing to do with him anymore.
If it hadn't been for that user 567 exposing the truth online, she would have never told him they had a second child.
And then there was Vivienne.
Still faking it, still trying to weave her web of lies.
Faking an illness, playing the victim!
Did she really think that a few tears would make him forgive her, just like always?
Maybe he was the one who had given her that impression, allowing her to act so recklessly.
But his past indulgence had only been because of their agreement.
He had only endured her for the sake of protecting the woman he truly loved.
"The test results are right here. What more do you want?" Tyler glared at her, his eyes blazing red.
Seeing his furious expression only fueled the bitter resentment festering inside Vivienne.
She hated that user 567, and she absolutely loathed Emilia.
She knew her fake illness would eventually come to light, but the timing was everything.
If she could have just trampled over Emilia and married Tyler first, becoming the official Mrs. Erickson, she could have smoothed things over gradually.
She could have even gotten pregnant to soften him up.
She knew how much he wanted a child; it was practically an obsession.
She had been so incredibly close.
"Speak!" Tyler barked.
Vivienne flinched and cried, "That clinic scammed me! They made me think I was dying so they could sell me their treatments! I—"
"Vivienne!" Tyler had reached his breaking point. He shot up from his wheelchair, grabbed her by the collar, and slammed her back against the headboard.
"Do you really think I don't know anything?" he whispered, his voice sounding hollow and utterly pathetic.
Vivienne's mind was scrambling for a lifeline.
