"And now you want to pin the blame on me? You're shameless!"
"Shut up!" Tyler yelled, every word she spat feeling like a jagged blade twisting in his chest. "Keep your damn mouth shut!"
"I won't!" she screamed. "You keep going on about how I hurt her, but let me tell you something! I might have my flaws, but when it comes to destroying Emilia, I don't hold a candle to you!"
Crash!
Tyler smashed his fist into the metal bedframe, the deafening sound echoing through the room.
His eyes were entirely bloodshot, his features contorted like a wounded, dangerous animal.
It was terrifying.
Vivienne started to tremble in actual fear.
But she was determined to shift the blame. No one knew what she had done in the stairwell that day, so Tyler was going to take the fall!
Thinking of this, she forced out another stream of pitiful sobs.
"I faked it, yes! But Tyler, if I hadn't, would you have ever looked at me? Would you have stayed with me?" she wailed.
"You wouldn't have even given me the time of day!"
Playing the victim to gain ground, it was a tactic she had mastered.
But Tyler wasn't buying it anymore.
"Just for that?" he asked, completely broken, tears welling in his eyes.
For that, she had spun an endless web of lies, deceiving him and destroying Emilia?
"Yes! For that!" Panic set in as she grabbed his hands tightly. "Tyler, I love you!"
"You love her, don't you? You've always wanted her to come back! Well, I feel the exact same way about you!"
"Everything I did, I did for you! You made me this way!"
"We're exactly the same, Tyler! You have to understand me, right?"
"Get out!" he roared.
How dare she compare herself to him!
