Emilia thought about it and shook her head.
"Xenia and I already agreed to get our facials done here together," Emilia said, her tone unhurried and perfectly composed.
Xenia was visibly thrilled with Emilia's response. She stood her ground—neither arrogant nor submissive, just perfectly poised.
"You don't even have the right to be here, do you understand?!" Priscilla snapped, her face flushed with fury. "I have never seen a woman as shameless as you. First, you clung to Tyler, and now you are throwing yourself at Theodore. That is the only trick women from your low-class background know!"
Xenia looked ready to explode.
Emilia frowned slightly, but before Xenia could fire back, she spoke up.
"Ms. Quinn, was it?" Emilia said smoothly. "Five minutes ago, we were complete strangers. I have no idea where this intense malice is coming from."
"My relationship with Tyler was a legitimate romance that led to a legitimate marriage, and eventually, a legitimate divorce. As for Theodore, we got together well after Tyler and I separated. I have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of regarding either relationship."
"And as for your comment about my 'low-class background'..."
Emilia smiled, lifting her gaze to meet Priscilla's eyes directly.
She did not say anything right away. She just looked at her.
Her dark eyes were perfectly calm, utterly devoid of panic.
Yet, that silent, unwavering stare radiated an intimidating authority.
Priscilla faltered.
The corners of Emilia's lips curved upward. "It is true that the Dennis family's fortunes have declined, and we are no longer at the top of the social ladder. But I firmly believe that a person's worth is not determined by their wealth."
"I live my life with integrity, and I will not accept your baseless slander."
"I expect an apology."
Emilia did not raise her voice. To an outsider, it looked like they were having a casual chat.
But her underlying message was razor-sharp.
It took Priscilla a few seconds to process Emilia's final demand. When she did, her shock morphed into utter indignation.
