Alexander leaned back in his chair, a highly amused smile on his face. "Young man, no need to be so gloomy," he cheerfully addressed Tyler and Chloe. "The catering tonight is excellent. Why not grab a bite before you head out?"

Tyler ignored him, his face a mask of brooding fury. Chloe crossed her arms, still fuming.

It was Israel who finally replied politely, "Enjoy your meal, Alexander."

Alexander just chuckled and took a sip of his drink.

"Tyler!" Chloe snapped, unable to contain her rage.

"We're leaving," Tyler ordered abruptly.

"Are we really just going to let them get away with this?" Chloe hissed, humiliated that she had looked like a fool in front of Raymond.

Tyler didn't bother arguing.

Chloe had no choice but to drop it, shooting one last venomous glare at the crowd before following her brother out the private exit.

The ride back was tense. Chloe couldn't stop ranting.

"I can't believe you're still obsessing over her! Didn't you see exactly what kind of gold-digging opportunist she is tonight?" she yelled in the back of the car.

Tyler sat in silence, his eyes fixed on the passing streetlights, his thoughts entirely unreadable.

"If you ask me, we should have stripped her of everything in the divorce!"

"We need to take back all those assets right now!"

"We can't let her live this comfortably!"

Chloe demanded relentlessly.

Tyler continued to ignore her.

Israel, sitting in the front passenger seat, finally had enough. "Miss Erickson, Emilia didn't take a dime of the Erickson family money. She only kept what was rightfully hers. Tyler even tried to send her a massive financial settlement recently, and she rejected it outright."

"You tried to give her more money?!" Chloe shrieked, turning on her brother.
