Chapter 273: Two missing people.

Leon’s POV

Honestly, seeing the Queen trouble Aurora almost all the time is almost funny to me, because there are practically two women—one disguising to be a man and the other falling hard for the other. I saw how the Queen kept brushing Aurora’s shoulder, and Aurora kept shivering, and I just bit my lips to stop myself from laughing.

Then Aurora whispered something into her ear and the Queen directed her out. She must have rushed out to take a deep breath. But I can’t blame her though; it is quite weird to see the Queen all over her.

I turned as the Alpha said to me, "Come on, Leon. I’ve not seen you pick any girls."

"I’ve not been finding any wolf in your pack interesting." I turned to look at each and every one of the wolves there.

"They are interesting," I said, "but they are not Aurora." I muttered the last part to myself.

He turned back to me. "So pick one. Pick any of them. You can pick multiple, by the way. Satisfy yourself, you’re a visitor. And when you’re done, I will introduce you to my entire pack publicly."

He looked at me proudly. "You seem to be a very fit wolf. When I set my eyes on you, I saw your wolf. Your wolf seems to be very strong. I’m in need of a Beta. So probably, you might fill in that role when I audition you and the others eligible for the position."

"Oh, I’m very thankful for the role, but I don’t think I’m really up to that task," I said. "I just came here to live my life, and I appreciate the help and the shelter you’ve given me and my friend, but I’m quite fine."

"So you don’t want to become a Beta?" he asked, looking at me strangely.

"Yes, I don’t."

My stomach growled. I couldn’t leave my position as a Beta back home just to come here and occupy the same position. That’s awfully weird. He nodded.

"Fine. Well, the girls are waiting. Go fuck them," he said, laughing and continuing to kiss the one in front of him.

I turned to see the girls beside me.

"Come on," he said.

I held the two of them awkwardly. "I’m not the type to do my thing publicly. I love doing it privately."

"Why? We’re all boys and girls here. Don’t tell me you’re afraid of showing your rod to everyone right here. Oh— is it small?" he said, laughing harder.

I turned to him, further uncomfortable. "No, no, it’s not small," I said. "But when I do my thing, I don’t like attention being on me. I love doing it privately."

"Haha, this man is a pussy!" the Alpha said, and they all burst out laughing together with the girls. The two girls I had picked just fooled me.

"Come on, let’s go somewhere private," they said as they pulled me toward a corner.

The moment we were out of sight, I immediately snapped their necks lightly so they would only be unconscious for a while. My palms were drenched with sweat.

"Ugh, I did not sign up for this. Where is Aurora? Let me go see how she’s doing."

She must also be escaping whatever trouble is here. I think she’s right... we shouldn’t have come to this High House. We should have just stayed back home, building our hut together with Kovu. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

I leapt out to find Aurora, but I couldn’t see her anywhere. I kept walking until I bumped straight into the Queen.

"Ah, here you are, Leon. Have you seen your friend Eric? He told me he wanted to ease himself, and I haven’t seen him."
