*~Aurora’s POV~*
My eyes fluttered open, and the view that came to my face was Leon, the perfect sleeping face. Thank God he was sleeping. Me leaving would be easier that way. I got off of my bed, but then I remembered I had forgotten something. I turned back, and then I gave him a soft kiss on his cheek. Soft enough not to wake him up, but hard enough to represent the feeling I was going through right now.
My heart was heavy, but even tears cannot bring all of it down.
I dropped off my bed, and then I went. As I opened my door, the view that came to my face was Hazel and Lilith. I immediately came out and closed the door.
"How long have you two been standing here?"
"Long enough for us to hear that beautiful kiss."
"You heard it," I said.
"Yeah," Lilith said. "So let’s go now. We don’t have enough time."
Then I turned to Hazel, who had at least a bit of tears on her face.
"We’ve checked everywhere. The demons are no longer around. Rumor has it that they have come back to their town, so I think this is the perfect opportunity for you to go and meet them," she said.
And then I nodded.
"So, who is helping me?" I asked, and then Lilith held my hand. But then Hazel joined in too.
"Your powers are not strong enough to go back," she said.
And then I nodded.
"Hazel, your powers are not strong enough to take her back," Hazel turned to Lilith, and then I nodded.
Then Hazel started to spill—started chanting some things, started chanting herself—and then she ended with Versa.
Then when she did it, a tornado started happening in the air. Lilith also said it. Lilith also joined in. They fell, and I did, a little. But I could not fully tap in.
Hazel told me they were trying to teleport. Hazel told me, imagine the place you are going to in your head, and you’ll meet yourself there.
I nodded, and then I started thinking about the forest, how big and scary all of it was. And then I started to see my body disappearing.
"It’s working," Lilith said. "Tighter."
Everybody started putting their power more inside of it. As I opened my eyes, I saw blood dropping from Lilith and Hazel’s nose.
I could not cry. I could not talk. I just held my emotions back for them to continue.
And then Lilith spilled down to the ground.
"Do not stop," Hazel said, turning to me. "But enough. We cannot break the spell now."
And then—poof—I disappeared.
I disappeared. My entire body was no longer in the high house, but rather on the rough surface. I opened my eyes to see that I was sleeping on the bare grass.
Then I got up to see I was in the forest.
The forest was colder than I can remember. It was snowing and my entire body was freezing. Too bad I did not even bring any coat or anything with me, so I just stayed put where I am.
And then I turned around to see if there was a wooden stick, but there was none. But thank God I was standing underneath a tree. I broke some of the tree branches and then placed, gathered them on the ground.
"Versa," I said, and all of them became hot.
I sat down in front of it and decided to warm my body.
I remembered Leon and the cute moments we shared yesterday. He gave that wedding ring he used to possess to me and then I placed it on my chest. I kissed it gently.
I must come back alive. No matter what.
Then that’s when I noticed my hair was starting to grow longer. Then I cut it back to the former length, which makes me look more of a boy. More of a young man dressing as a young man that has lost her memories.
But how? How long were they used to look for me?
Perhaps I should send the signal to them there. They will find me. Because if I say I should wait in this cold, I don’t know how long I will use to wait for. And then, I was still deliberating on whether I should wait or not. That was when the cold took the fire that I was using to warm my body away. And the cold came back to me again.
My fingers were shivering. I could not contain the cold inside of me. I had no other choice. But how can I send the signal? How?
Perhaps practicing a spell can help me.
"Versa."
I let out my hand in the mid-air and let a wave of tornado come outside, sending the direction into every piece. And then I waited for a while, but soon... seconds turned into minutes, minutes turned into hours.
"I think it is Aurora, Darius’ runaway bride," they said, and then I almost burst out laughing. Runaway bride? Of all nicknames, that’s the nickname they gave me.
