*~Leon’s POV~*
Despite the warning of the demon about the forest of Varian, Lilith decided to dig more into the piece of information we managed to drag out of him, and then we finally got the location and possibly where Aurora could be. She turned to us and then she marked out the map, and Caspian picked up the map and then gazed at Lilith.
"Are you sure this is the exact location where Aurora would be?"
"I’m very much sure. The demon said she’s in the forest of Varian and according to the name it sounds familiar, and when I was in my prime I used to go around and it’s around— and I know someone that knows a piece of information. Yes, as I say, I clicked every puzzle together and I got this exact location and my information is on play," she said.
And Alice nodded. "Yes, I trust Lilith. Whatever she tracks down is always true."
Lilith then nodded back at her friend while Cayden collected the map from Caspian.
"Then that is it, we are going."
"Right now?" Hazel said.
"Yes, right now."
"But Cyrius has not arrived yet. I summoned him to come back home as there’s a little bit of information." She sighed.
Then Caspian turned to me. "This happens to Hazel. You know it’s not every time we have a situation you will go call Sirius, right?"
"I know, it’s just— what if all of us get busy? We need an extra hand."
Then Caspian raised his hand and Cayden did also.
"We have four hands available here. We don’t need six." Cayden grunted.
"Well, there’s never— we are never going to be complaining about too much hands," I said. "We really need Cyrius . And now that we found the exact location where Aurora would be, every single one of us will be leaving, and Cyrius will be in charge of the twins and the entire High House. We need someone to rule and it’s the perfect option because it’s just one alpha. It’ll be easier. I will not have to worry about the situation of things back at home," I said.
And Hazel nodded. "See? Leon gets it. We need Sirius."
"Yeah, fine, fine, fine," Caspian and Cayden nodded.
"Well, so what are we doing now?" they both said.
"The thing is," Lilith said, "we need to leave at once. Tonight, to be precise. The forest of Varian is not one easy journey. No wonder why he took all of my energy when we were transporting Aurora." She turned to Hazel and she nodded.
"So since you guys use magic, why can’t we also use magic to get there?" I suggested, and Hazel shook her head.
"No. Using magic would just completely drain all of us. It is definitely a bad idea for us to use magic to teleport ourselves there."
"Really?" I said. And Lilith and Hazel nodded.
"So we need to use road."
"Yeah. And it’s beyond fear if we teleport only one of us there and the one there will be waiting for the rest. It can take days, weeks, months," Hazel said.
And I almost lost it.
"Months? Weeks?"
"It’s just— it’s a lie, I’m just joking," she waved her hand. "But Lilith is right. We need to leave at once."
"Okay. So by evening, we should all be ready, and we shall be meeting downstairs at the center," Cayden said, and he looked at every one of us.
"Is it just all of us going?"
"Yes," Caspian said. "It would be a bad idea to involve any other person. We are enough. I mean, we have the Crescent." He pointed to Lilith, Hazel, and Alice. "We have Alphas." He pointed to himself and also Hazel. "We also have random wolves." Then he pointed to me and Cayden.
I scoffed.
"Random wolf?"
"Yeah. I mean, I don’t know where to class you in."
"You know you can just say wolf, right?" I corrected.
And he nodded. "Fine."
"Then we should all get ready," they said.
And then as we all disbanded, I was leaving the room. That was when one of the wolves stationed approached me.
"Beta Leon," he said, and I turned to him.
"What?"
Kovu is dead.
