Fated To Three, And I Broke Them All novel Chapter 210

Chapter 210: 210-Naked Fall

Verity:

I walked right past them without saying another word.

Out of the corner of my eye, I caught both Theodore and Jaguar turning to watch me.

But I didn’t stop.

I kept walking until I reached my wing.

The moment I stepped into my room, I slammed the door shut behind me.

The loud bang echoed through the room.

A shaky breath escaped my lips, one I had been holding back.

I pressed a hand against my chest, trying to steady my breathing.

But each inhale came deeper and heavier than the last.

My fingers disappeared into my hair as I dragged both hands through it, squeezing my eyes shut for a moment.

I tried to calm the storm inside me.

But Jenna’s words and Ragnar’s coldness kept echoing in my head.

At this point, everyone around me was just another piece on the board for me to move.

At the same time, I didn’t have any genuine friends, family, or anyone else to rely on.

I was completely alone, unable to trust a single person.

As I stood there, lost in my thoughts, two messages popped up one after the other.

One was from Jaguar.

The other was from Theodore.

Theodore: Are you okay? Why were you tearing up? Did somebody say something to you?

I read his message before opening Jaguar’s.

Jaguar: Did somebody fucking upset you? Let me know. Please.

I stared at both of their messages, my foot tapping anxiously against the floor.

I read their messages, but I didn’t respond.

I waited for them to leave.

In the meantime, I decided to skip dinner.

Since the two of them weren’t around, nobody else came to check on me or ask me to join them.

I could tell Mr. and Mrs. Bundy didn’t like me.

Jenna was looking at me in a different light now, too.

Then there was Ragnar, who had openly said he didn’t want me.

Lady Lucille had probably eaten dinner in her room.

As I thought about everything, I stepped into the shower and let the warm water wash over me.

When I finished, I walked out wearing nothing but a robe wrapped around my body.

The moment I stepped out of the bathroom, I realized I’d completely forgotten I wasn’t at home.

Back home, I always had a mat outside the bathroom where I took off my slippers and dried my feet.

Lost in my thoughts, I slipped off my slippers and took a step forward.

My foot slid across the floor, sending my legs flying out from under me.

I hit the floor with a heavy thud.

Pain shot from my buttocks up my spine and into my neck.

I squeezed my eyes shut, a pained groan escaping my lips.

It was one of the worst pains I’d ever felt, almost as if the stalker had come back just to hit me again.

I hit the floor so hard that a scream escaped my lips.

I hadn’t even realized I’d screamed.

A loud knock came from the other side of my door.

"Are you okay?"

That was when I realized a maid must have been outside, turning off the lights.

I was told to not be suddenly afraid as every night, one of the maids went around the house switching off all the lights, leaving only a lamp on in each area.

She must have heard me fall.

"Hey, are you okay?" she called, knocking again.

"Oh, fucking hell," I groaned, trying to push myself up.

"Oh no—did you fall?" she asked, panic creeping into her voice.
