Theodore, the night was so hard for me to get through.

Jaguar and I attended the meeting, and afterward we went back to our hotel rooms.

We agreed to meet in the hotel lounge for dinner.

By the time I was ready and stepped into the elevator, another woman joined me.

She kept flashing me smiles. She wore a white dress, and her short brunette hair framed her face beautifully.

She really was stunning.

I caught a glimpse of her. The little mole beneath her lip made her even prettier.

A server appeared almost immediately, offering us menus and filling our water glasses.

Neither of us spent long looking.

After placing our orders, we handed the menus back and settled into our seats as the server disappeared toward the kitchen.

The aroma of grilled chicken, butter, and fresh herbs drifted through the dining room while the conversations around us continued in low murmurs.

Once we had sat down and our food had arrived, we started eating.

Throughout the meal, I noticed Jaguar glancing past me before looking back at me with an amused smile.

"What is it?" I asked, returning the smile.

"There’s been a woman checking you out," he commented, gesturing behind me with his fork.

"Oh." I chuckled softly but didn’t turn around right away.

"Well?" Jaguar pressed, cutting into his food. "Are you going to do something, or are you just going to ignore it?"

I finally followed his gaze to the woman behind me.
