Five Years of Marriage to Mr. Bradford (by Koi Fish) novel Chapter 265

Chapter 265

It was Vance sending the photo of a jacket. The message read: [The shoulders on this one are a little tight. I need it altered.]

Rebecca felt a flicker of irritation, typing back: [I’ll talk to the studio when I have time.]

He sent another photo, requesting: [This one, too. The sleeves are short.]

Rebecca: [That’s impossible. They’ve made you over 100 pieces. You never complained when I brought them home. Now every single one needs fixing?]

Vance: [Yes, they do. And this one. Check it out.]

He sent a picture of himself wearing it, but everything looked fine.

Rebecca: [It looks fine to me.]

Vance: [I don’t like the style. Too dull. Alter it.]

Rebecca found him impossible.

In the past, he had always stressed, “I’m a CEO. My public image needs to be mature and steady. Nothing too trendy.”

Rebecca: [Are you deliberately finding faults today?]

Vance: [Think whatever you want. They still need altering.]

Rebecca: [Take them to the studio. Derek will fix them.]

Vance: [You talk to him. I’m busy. Just forward whatever they say.]

Rebecca: [ I’m busy, too. If none of these fit you, give them away. If you can’t even do that, just donate them.]

Vance: [I’m keeping them. A few alterations, and they’ll be fine.]

Rebecca: [Whatever. If you want them altered, take them in. If not, forget about it. Don’t drag me into it. Unless it’s about divorce terms, stop messaging me.]

As he was typing a reply, she quickly added: [I’ll unblock you in a week. Hopefully by then, you’ll have no objections to the divorce terms.]

His text read: [Stop using divorce to threaten me into cutting ties with Cathy.]

He hit send, but it bounced back with a red exclamation mark.

Rebecca slipped her phone into her pocket and headed straight to the rehearsal hall.

Desmond was already there, practicing hard. Sweat glistened on his forehead, and his face lit up. Rebecca!”

She had been training nonstop for days and could already feel the difference. Her flexibility was returning, her basics slowly rebuilding. The biggest hurdle was still her foot.

The dancers looked light and graceful, but every ounce of that lightness rested on raw strength. Without her foot healed, she would never have power.

“I video-chatted with the expert again last night, and he sent a new rehab routine. Let’s try it today,” Desmond exclaimed, stopping his own practice to help her.

“Great!” She nodded, knowing recovery would be brutal, but she would not back down.

Their time in Germany was almost up; they were about to move to the next city. A rental-car issue meant they couldn’t leave the next day, so Lauren gave everyone a free day to explore.

Since they never performed the day they arrived, the extra rest day wouldn’t affect the schedule.

The next morning, Rebecca and the troupe wandered the city, hitting all the famous landmarks and snapping photos. Several members posted on social media.

Jenny sent their group shot to Rebecca with a message: [Girl, you look so much healthier than last time I saw you!]

Rebecca looked at the picture. Lauren was on her left, and Desmond was on her right.

The smile on her face was undeniably radiant.
