Five Years of Marriage to Mr. Bradford (by Koi Fish) novel Chapter 341

Chapter 341

The crowd in the ballroom began to buzz with excitement. Everyone had long heard of Mr. Rossi Jr., but few had ever seen him in person.

Several top-tier elites had already turned their gazes toward Gabriel. He had paid the necessary courtesy visits to them upon arriving in Soliaridge, but given their status, they remained quiet in the background and did not join the commotion.

Amid the rising clamor, there was gossip, anticipation, and the loud, excited shouts of Catherine’s entourage.

“Mr. Rossi is coming out!”

“Catherine, those slaps are finally going to get payback!”

“That’s right! Mr. Rossi will stand up for you and throw these people out!”

Vance and Aiden were both confused. What connection could Mr. Rossi Jr. have with Catherine?

Under their questioning stares, Catherine shrank back and covered her face.

The entire room waited in eager expectation, but the man of the hour still did not appear on stage. It wasn’t that he was deliberately delaying, but the crowd in front of him had packed so tightly that he couldn’t move forward, giving these people extra time to keep talking.

Only when his bodyguards carved a clear path did he finally step forward, with Rebecca’s hand on his

arm.

“Hey, where are you going? Don’t wander around and embarrass yourselves. This isn’t your…” Catherine’s

voice echoed behind them.

But Gabriel had already led Rebecca, stunning in her burgundy gown, straight toward Hugo.

“Rebecca!” Vance reached out, but his fingers only brushed empty air.

“What on earth are they doing?” someone muttered.

Gabriel matched his pace to Rebecca’s, walking at a calm, considerate speed. Behind them, it wasn’t only Catherine and her group who stood stunned. Vance and his group also watched with wide eyes.

None of them had connected the obvious dots that Gabriel was Mr. Rossi Jr. They might have suspected it somewhere deep down, but they refused to admit it.

Hugo stepped aside respectfully, offered the central position to Gabriel, and began applauding,

Vance’s face drained of color. He stumbled back, accidentally stepping on Aiden’s foot. A voice screamed inside his head, “No way. How is this possible?”

Gabriel’s voice rang out through the microphone the next moment, reaching every corner of the ballroom. “Ladies and gentlemen, good evening. I’m Gabriel Rossi.”

“What? How could it be? Isn’t that Rebecca’s useless cousin? How could he be Mr. Rossi Jr?” Catherine

swayed on her feet, nearly collapsing.

Suddenly, the memory of that venomous man from the basement flooded back. Terror wrapped around her like a net, tightening until she could barely breathe.

The sycophants who had been flattering her earlier gasped in disbelief.

“How can he be Mr. Rossi Jr.?”

“Catherine, didn’t you say that you went to the same college as him and that he was a senior?”

“Didn’t you say he liked you? That he came to Soliaridge just for you?”

*How could you not even recognize him?”

Humiliation burned Catherine, but far worse was fear.

She knew how terrifying this man could be. Given the way she had behaved that night, he might really

throw her into the ocean.

The shock hit everyone differently. Isabelle and Sonia felt a surge of satisfaction once the initial jolt passed.

“Hah! She was just bragging her ass off. Now that’s a slap in the face!” Isabelle gloated.
