Chapter 477
But every time she looked around, Rebecca couldn’t find anyone else.
Maybe she was imagining things.
On the weekend, she went to the clinic as usual. The treatment-on and off-had added up to almost a year now, and the results were remarkable.
Because she hadn’t lost any bone length, the therapy was effective. Even though she couldn’t return to the peak of her dancing career, her everyday walking was basically normal.
She could dance as long as she avoided extremely difficult moves.
Desmond had come with her, as always. The clinic staff members were all familiar faces now.
The first group of medical professionals Gabriel had hired at high salaries had been told they could leave anytime if they didn’t adjust, as long as they gave notice.
They had all chosen to stay and plan to renew their contracts. The moment she walked in, she noticed a table in the waiting area covered with pastries.
Lately, the clinic had been providing snacks for everyone-sometimes cookies and sometimes cakes. She had even seen green bean cakes, rice cakes, and foxnut pastries.
She assumed the young nurses were baking in their spare time and bringing them in. They were delicious.
One of the plates held pineapple tarts. She loved them and ate several.
After her session, she went to the school rehearsal hall and practiced hard for the rest of the day. When it ended, the students changed clothes and started eating pineapple tarts.
“This pineapple tart…” Rebecca paused.
They looked like the ones at the clinic. Even the packaging was the same.,
The students thought she was going to scold them and quickly hid the tarts. “Coach, we’re only having one each. We won’t eat more.”
She assisted with undergraduate classes, and the students respected her.
“I didn’t mean it like that.” Rebecca brushed it off. “Where did you get these tarts?”
“We bought them,” one student said, quickly offering her one. “Try it. They’re really good.”
“Where?” She examined the packaging and confirmed it was identical to what was in the clinic.
“At a new bakery two blocks away,” replied the student.
Rebecca decided to go and buy some, but Desmond protested, “Don’t my desserts taste good?”
“They do!” She chuckled at his jealousy. “It’s just that I haven’t had pineapple tarts in a long time. I really like
them.”
He thought for a second. “I’ll look up a recipe when we get home.”
“You really…” Rebecca shook her head. “Are you going to learn tailoring next? Or start making skincare products? Might as well take care of everything I eat, wear, and use.”

He nodded eagerly. “Great idea. I’ll ask my mom to acquire a few more companies and open some new production lines.”
She facepalmed, finally remembering that he was the son of a business tycoon.
The bakery the students mentioned was tucked in a corner, eye-catching because of its unique décor. It looked like a gingerbread house from fairy tales.
The door, walls, and roof resembled cookies. The windows looked like chocolate. Inside, the counters and tables were shaped like cakes and donuts. It was as if a fairy tale had come to life.
The shop’s name was simple: Cookie House.
There was only one blonde girl inside, wearing a cute cookie-shaped hair clip. She greeted them warmly.
“Your shop is beautiful! The design is adorable!” Rebecca marveled.
The blonde girl smiled. “My boyfriend designed it. I love this fairy-tale style.”
