Chapter 569

Vance looked into her eyes and femained silent.

Rebecca nodded. “Looks like you don’t know either.”

“I do know,” he said quickly.

She waited for him to continue.

“I know he didn’t have a girlfriend,” he muttered, lowering his head. When he looked up again, his smile became en But I don’t know who the dancing girl was.“1

Rebecca recalled the man from her dream. He was driving along the coastline with boundless energy and vitality. Even now, the image felt alive.

“What’s wrong?” Vance asked, noticing her strange expression.

“I don’t know how to explain it,” she sighed. “Sometimes people are so contradictory. He was such a good person. When I think of him going through life all alone, without anyone ever loving him, it feels so sad. But then I think the opposite.

“How do you know he was good?” Vance asked curiously. “We weren’t even in the same class. I only knew him through basketball. You didn’t really know him.”

She rolled her eyes. “Wasn’t he better than you?”

Anna wasn’t nearby at that moment, and she couldn’t resist adding, “Why do so many good girls like scumbags? So unfair!”

His brows twitched. “Come on.”

Jriah and Heather arrived just then. Rebecca picked up her things and left with them.

Heather looked back at Anna and Vance. “See you tonight for drinks!”
