Chapter 686
It looked like Vance no longer worked at fire bakery. So much had changed in just one year.
Rebecca went upstairs to the studio. Luckily, the place and the coaches were still the same. They greeted her warmly and told her to get ready.
Two hours later, Aaron came to pick her up, handing her a cup of hot cocea. It was her favorite and what she normally had hirm bring her.
Her mood that day was at rock bottom. After learning about Vance’s condition in Paris, she had cried until she fainted and crossed into this timeline.
For a long time afterward, she had remained dazed, almost unable to think. The dancing exhausted her yet somehow cleared her mind a little.
Yet the heavy stone pressing on her chest refused to lift. The image of Vance’s rhissing legs weighed off her like an anchor. That untouched cup of sweet drink stayed clutched in her hand until they arrived home.
It was the same villa bought by Gabriel. This time, with more preparation, the entire interior had been gutted and redesigned in Gabriel’s signature style.
Neither Kaitlyn nor Gabriel was home. They had been flying between Soliaridge and Paris all year and were currently abroad.
But the villa was fully staffed with security, gardeners, chefs, and maids, Josette’s safety was no longer a concern.
The old lady was waiting with warm food. She smiled at Rebecca, but her expression quickly changed. “What’s wrong. sweetheart? You don’t look happy.”
“I’m just tired,” Rebecca said quickly. “We had a field day, and then I went to dance.”
Josette brought out all the dishes. “Eat up and get some rest.”
Even with hired help, she still insisted on looking after Rebecca herself.
“Okay.” Rebecca’s thoughts were a chaotic mess, her mood turbulent.
