Five Years of Marriage to Mr. Bradford (by Koi Fish) novel Chapter 685

Chapter 685

In the quiet classroom, Rebecca confirmed the Timeline: first semester of senior year, during the autumn sports day one of the few chances for seniors to breathe.

It was the last day, and there was no evening study hall. Once the events ended, the students were dismissed and looked forward to a full weekend.

They were overjoyed, cheering and celebrating.

Rebecca checked her belongings. Her backpack and phone had been replaced with new ones. She wasn’t even sure if her phone number had changed as well.

Her frequent contacts were Josette, Gabriel, Kaitlyn, Jenny, and Aaron.

“Aaron? I met him so early?”

Chats with Darren were plentiful, but Vance wasn’t in recent contact. She looked him up in her address book and discovered a blank chat history.

He hadn’t enabled his social media profile, so she couldn’t see his side. According to him, she had ignored him for a year. Now the blank chat history was proof.

She accidentally sent an emoji while checking. No notification popped up, meaning he wasn’t blocked. He hadn’t responded, probably not seeing it yet, so she quickly unsent it.

After school, Aaron texted: [Miss Perry, I’ve arrived. Time to dance.]

Given the routine, he had to be already waiting for her at the school gate. She slung her backpack over her shoulder and hurried out.

“Rebecca!” Jenny called after her, making a phone gesture. “Tomorrow!”

“Okay!” Rebecca gestured back from a distance, then quickened her pace. She wondered if she was still practicing at the same studio.

Jenny was walking with the two boys. “Can your shop make vegan pastries for tomorrow, Vance?”

“Yeah, no problem.”

“By the way, I have something to do at home today, so I won’t be watching you guys play basketball. Are you still playing today? Don’t you feel like you’ve had enough exercise?”

She was puzzled by their energy levels, especially Vance’s. He had just gone for a long run in the afternoon.

“Homework can be skipped some days, but basketball is a must,” Jethro said.

“Alright, you guys go ahead,” Jenny said. “I’ll head home. Vance, don’t forget the vegan pastries.”

She slung her backpack over her shoulder and ran off.

Jethro looked at Vance quizzically. “You’re going tomorrow? You said you were busy with something important at the shop.
