When Ethan arrived at the tavern used by the information guild, he felt relieved.

Due to the rush, he hadn’t taken anything with him, he was tired and hungry.

Before entering, he covered his face with a hood, then went directly to the second floor and went to the

bar to order a glass of milk.

The bartender told him to wait, after a few minutes Barto appeared.

He seemed surprised to see him. “I’m surprised to see you here. I thought I wouldn’t see you again, especially after what happened at the royal palace.”

“This is the information guild, we know everything.”

“Can we talk in private?”

“Of course, follow me.”

Barto led him to his office, once they were alone, he asked.

“What do you want?”

“I need to get to Laios, I need teleportation scrolls to get there as soon as possible.”

Alessandro stayed hugging Abril until she calmed down a bit, then he called one of the maids to bring he something to eat. Abril wasn’t hungry, but she forced herself to eat. She needed to regain her strength sc she could go to look for her daughter.

“How do you feel?”

“My magic still hasn’t fully recovered, but I feel better.”

Alessandro took Abril’s hand and said, “I’d like Sirius to check on you, I’ll ask him to come.”

Abril had forgotten that she had left Sirius behind.

She asked him, “Sirius, is he okay?”

“Yes.”

“I’m glad. He risked his life so I could get here, even if I’m late in the end.”

“That’s not true. If it wasn’t for you, I don’t know what would have happened to me, or to this kingdom.”

“If I wasn’t so weak, if I hadn’t used up all my magic, I would have lost control too. We’ve lost our daughter that’s not something that would drive any parent crazy.”

“We’re going to get her back, we’ll have our daughter back.”

“Yes, I don’t care what I have to face, I will get her back.”

Cassian stormed into the room, approached Abril and asked, “Aby, are you alright?”

“Yes, I’m feeling better.”

The color had returned to Abril’s face, which made Cassian happy, because one of his brother’s burdens

had been lifted.

“It’s a relief that you’re awake, we were all very worried about you, I’ll go tell Maya.”

Cassian left the same way he had entered.

“These days have not been good for any of us. It is good to have good news.”

“What do you mean by that?”

“Maya has fallen ill, although the doctor says it is only exhaustion.”

Abril knew that what Maya had was not just exhaustion. It was her life energy that was escaping. She felt

powerless to do anything to help her.

“I’m going to get Sirius. I’ll be right back.”

Alessandro was on his way to find Sirius when one of the servants came running towards him.

“Your Majesty.”

“What is it?”

“They have requested an audience with the Queen.”

“With Abril? Are you sure?”

“Yes.”

“Did he say who it was?”

“He announced himself as Ethan. He said he has something very important to tell the Queen.”

“Take me to him.”

That servant led Alessandro to the room where Ethan was. When he saw him the first thing he did was lunge at him and punch him in the face.
