Forgotten Wife My Ex-Husband Regrets It After I Left (Clara and Liam) novel Chapter 187

Sienna's POV

I slowly gazed upwards, pondering on pertinent matters.

He didn't answer right away. Just a brief moment, he looked at me and then said, "I feel my gratitude that you are still here with our son."

The room became quiet, but not the cold or awkward state. I was so disturbed by the silence that I wanted to remain silent, just to let his words drift in the air.

Noah was unsure about the significance of the conversation and so put his hands on the table with a smile. "Daddy, look! I finished my milk!"

Liam smiled and raised the glass. "That's really impressive," he declared. “You can count on Daddy to give you an extra slice of bread for tomorrow.”

"Noah has a strong fondness for bread," he stated, holding his hands together with joy.

Then I laughed as much, and when my gaze met Liam again the words just popped, “I loved you, there was nothing but a small smile.”

My thoughts had been occupied with the question I wanted to ask since last night. Before addressing, I observed him cutting his toast.

“Liam."

He raised an eyebrow and made a slight turn.

My thoughts took a moment to relax. "Are you ready to travel?"

With a blank expression, Liam looked surprised and repeated the question, "Do you mean he has to go on – is that ten-hour trip?"

With a slight frown, I looked down at the toast in my hand. “I’m aware. Liliana has recently emerged victorious in a significant case. She expressed her desire to take us on a vacation.”

Before Liam could respond, Noah clapped his hands in excitement. "Disney!” His eyes sparkled as he shouted, "I want to go to Disneyland."

He was so exuberant that I couldn't help but chuckle. "You haven't still on the adventure, man," I said, softly brushing his hair with both hands.

“My ultimate goal is to visit Disneyland! It includes a parade, balloons, and Mickey Mouse!”

Liam was filled with laughter. “Maybe Aunty Liliana should know that Disneyland is the only place she can think of."

I chuckled and then glanced at Liam. "So, are you interested in going?"

Leaning back into his chair and placing his coffee cup, he gave a silent expression. "What's the reason you were unexpectedly invited by Liliana?"

"According to her, she desires some time to recharge."

“Following that major incident, I required tranquility. She desires me to come. Despite everything, she said I also need some time off.” I held my breath as I quietly closed mine. “She suggested I should start living my life like before.”

For a brief moment, Liam was silent. His gaze briefly faded before turning to me. "She's correct," he said.

The sound of his voice suddenly struck a chord with me, both gentle and heavy.

"You're in a difficult position, and I don't think you can take it."

I swore, feeling warmth in my chest. "You guys? You know what?"

With a smile on his face, Noah chewed and hummed with joy.

The setting was subdued, but beneath the laughter, I sensed a subtle yet powerful force, like invisible threads connecting us.

Liam gave me a quiet look. "You're doing better lately." Issuing hugs.

With a slight surprise, I glanced at him and asked "Do you believe me?"

He smiled softly. “Yeah. At one point, you seemed exhausted. Your eyes have been lightened up again.”

Looking back at Noah's half-drunken glass of milk, I muttered. "I suppose now I have happiness in this situation."

Liam's expression softened. "I'm pleased to hear that, Sienna."

The silence, for a brief moment, became less heavy and more warm with lucid meaning.

After a prolonged silence, Noah suddenly asked if he could choose his own clothes for the journey.

Liam quickly responded with a positive answer, as long as it's not the same dinosaur shirt that you wore for three days. "OK."

Noah chuckled appreciably. "But that's the shirt I was wearing!"

My coffee nearly choked me. "Let's see him wear it, Liam. Maybe it really brings luck."

In a moment of mockery, Liam gasped. "Ok, fine, but the dinosaur shirt doesn't leave the hotel room, okay?"
