Forgotten Wife My Ex-Husband Regrets It After I Left (Clara and Liam) novel Chapter 223

Sienna’s POV

Noah gave a nod. I was aware he still harbored some concerns deep within. Children his age shouldn’t need to ponder if their mother feels proud or not. Yet Noah had witnessed my hardships often, maybe even grasping matters no child should be burdened with. It struck me in ways I found impossible to express.

The evening breeze drifted in through a gap in the window bringing the aroma of the streets and dried leaves. Noah hummed more quieter now as though he sang only for himself. I remained focused, on the road. A piece of my heart floated along with his melody, the tiny anchor holding me firm amid the turmoil had not yet settled.

Each kilometer we crossed served as a reminder, perhaps my life remained chaotic, perhaps my past hadn’t released its grip, perhaps that encounter with Vina unlocked fears within me but in the back seat sat a motive to continue striving to make things right.

I looked at Noah via the rearview mirror then redirected my attention to the road.

He continued discussing the class performance and his new acquaintance. I kept driving, occasionally replying with “yeah?” And then what happened?” every. Then.

However Noah abruptly fell silent, seeming to be lost in thought.”Mommy!” he whispered gently.

“Yes, sweetheart?”

“Is it possible for me to enroll in taekwondo classes?”

I smiled. “Taekwondo? What made you suddenly interested in joining taekwondo?”

“Noah desires to be, like Kevin!” he exclaimed with enthusiasm. “Kevin can kick high! He mentioned taekwondo! If Noah learns taekwondo Noah can defend Mommy and Daddy! So when there’s a villain Noah can shout HIAAA!”

He performed a motion that caused his car seat to tremble.

I nearly chuckled. “If Noah guards Mommy then Mommy will be quite secure.”

Noah became increasingly thrilled. “Yes! Noah is going to be strong!”

I nodded thoughtfully. Taekwondo seemed beneficial, for children his age promoting discipline, concentration and physical power. It wasn’t a suggestion.

“Alright Mommy will discuss it with Daddy afterwards.”

Noah shouted with joy. “Yay!!”

He kept performing pretend combat actions yelling ”

HIAAA! Tsyaa!” as he kicked the air until I started to fearhis seatbelt would come undone if he grew any more excited.

“Take it easy darling. Don’t let the seat become unsteady,” I remarked with a hint of humor.

“Noah is powerful! The chair won’t detach. This is a superhero chair,” he answered proudly showing off his arm muscles.

I shook my head, grinning. “Wow Mommy must feel really protected with a superhero, like you.”

“Mommy can see me practice afterward. But please don’t laugh if Noah stumbles alright?” he said, part warning, part shy.

Happiness doesn’t come from strength. Happiness exists because Noah is cherished. Mommy loves Noah dearly.”

He quietly grinned a smile that consistently made the world seem gentler.

“Mommy,” he repeated, his tone now even softer than earlier.

“Yes?””The event on Saturday, what time is it? My class performed.”

I caught a glimpse of him in the rearview mirror. His expression appeared concerned.

“Ten o’clock, in the morning. Mommy is going to arrive.

Daddy will also be here. We will watch it as a group.”

His expression brightened instantly as if a lamp had been switched on. “Alright! Then Noah will sing loudly so Mommy can hear!”

“Hahaha try not to sing loudly. Just have fun with it.”

He nodded with joy. Returned to demonstrating arbitrary ” moves” accompanied by theatrical noises. The car trembled a bit when he kicked with much zeal and I could only sigh resignedly while grinning.
