Forgotten Wife My Ex-Husband Regrets It After I Left (Clara and Liam) novel Chapter 242

Sienna’s POV

I settled in, inhaled deeply and whispered gently.

“Liliana, I encountered Emily during the publisher meeting.”

Liliana’s eyes grew large exactly as I had anticipated.

What? Sienna, do you really mean that?”

I agreed silently gazing at the cup before me.

“She mentioned she is not going to abandon Liam.”

Liliana grasped my hand, her tone gentle and comforting just, as usual.

“Then allow me to be your support today. This burden is far too great for you to handle by yourself.”

I gazed at Liliana’s fingers entwined with mine. The heat of her grasp was soothing, making me understand that. since leaving the publisher’s office I had been caught in a tempest of feelings I couldn’t untangle on my own. Not because of Emily. Not because of Liam.. Because of the person I had become who now found himself in a situation I had never thought I’d achieve.

I breathed out gradually.

“I have no idea where to begin, Liliana.””Begin with what you’re experiencing ” she responded softly. “Not, with what Emily did. You come first.”

Her statement caused me to shut my eyes briefly. She was correct. I had devoted much of my time organizing everything for others. Liam’s choices. Emily’s actions.

Circumstances that held me captive.. Now I merited the right to express my feelings without dread of criticism.

“The meeting actually went smoothly,” I stated carefully.”

Everyone was considerate. Professional. They made me feel valued. Heard.”

Liliana grinned.

“What do you deserve?”

1 nodded, suppressing the heat growing within my chest.

“Throughout the entire meeting Liliana I had the sensation of existing in two separate realms. The new realm I’m striving to create. The old one that continues to stick to me like a shadow.”

Liliana remained silent. She gently brushed the back of my hand with her thumb allowing room for the words I had been holding back.

“I was proud, Liliana,” I went on, my voice shaking slightly.

“Truly proud. Because for the time I advanced not on behalf of anyone else. Not, for the marriage. Not to rescue a relationship.. For my own sake.”

Liliana’s grin grew broader, her eyes shining brightly.”That’s amazing, Sienna.”

“Simultaneously I’m frightened. Since I’m unsure if I have the strength to keep all this together. I’m only beginning to stand more. Merely discovering my direction..

Truthfully I’m scared that the road ahead might collapse suddenly.

Liliana leaned in, speaking softly and firmly.

“Feeling scared doesn’t imply you lack strength, Sienna.

It’s the fact that you’re fearful yet continue forward that’s what leads to your growth.”

I became quiet.

Her statements struck me at my weakest point.

Love. A term I had kept suspended in the air never bold to grasp.

“I’m not sure if I’m prepared,” I murmuredeventually.

“Being prepared doesn’t mean you’re fully healed or

• strong,” Liliana remarked, her tone a gentle whisper soothing a tempest.

“Preparedness involves deciding to advance despite feeling fear.”

I wished to refuse it. To claim I wasn’t advancing I was merely carried along by time and situations. Yet Liliana’s gaze made me understand: I was progressing. Although the strides were tiny they were nevertheless strides.

“Do you recall when you mentioned you wished to stop writing?” Liliana inquired.

I glanced upward a little.

Yeah.

“Do you recall what I mentioned to you?”

I closed my eyes briefly.

“You mentioned I would be foolish to quit.”

“Precisely.” She grinned. “Observe you now. Seated here as a to-be debut novelist preparing to release her book.

Do you believe you reached this stage because you lacked readiness? You arrived here because you decided to continue moving.”

I breathed out slowly and fully. My frame slumped into the chair as though becoming aware, for the time of how tight l’d been all day long. Liliana’s words reverberated in my thoughts, more truthful than I cared to acknowledge.
