Forgotten Wife My Ex-Husband Regrets It After I Left (Clara and Liam) novel Chapter 291

Sienna’s POV

The aroma of freshly delivered food quickly filled the entire dining room, warm, savory, and tempting my stomach, which had felt empty for hours. When Liam opened the first pizza box, a burst of steam rose instantly, carrying the scent of melted cheese that made me swallow reflexively.

“Noah, be careful. It’s still hot,” Liam said as he pulled a small plate toward Noah.

“I’m strong!” Noah replied, lifting both arms as if showing off muscles that didn’t exist, making me laugh until my eyes squinted.

I took a slice of pizza and blew on it gently. “Here, Mommy will feed you this one first. The others are still really hot.”

Noah scooted his chair closer to me, his eyes wide with anticipation. Liam had just finished pouring drinks when Noah took his first bite, his cheeks immediately puffing up like a little hamster.

“Is it good?” I asked.

Noah nodded quickly, giving two enthusiastic thumbs up. ” Yummy! I like it,” he said, moving his dinosaur toy as if it were eating too.

Liam and I exchanged a look, then laughed. Simple sceneslike this always managed to warm my chest somehow, as if I had just exhaled after holding my breath for far too long,

Liam sat down beside me after making sure everything was ready. He picked up his burger, while I stayed quiet for a few seconds, watching how he always made sure Noah and I ate first before himself.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.

I shook my head quickly, smiling. “Nothing. I’m just happy, seeing you two.”

Liam looked at me longer than I expected, his eyes softening, before he finally looked down and started eating. “Me too,” he murmured, almost inaudibly.

I bit into my pizza, the salty cheese filling my mouth instantly. Truly, it tasted much better than I had imagined or maybe I really was just that hungry.

I wiped the corner of Noah’s mouth with a tissue, chuckling softly at the tomato sauce nearly reaching his chin. “Eat slowly, or you’ll choke,” I said gently.

Noah nodded briefly, then went right back to focusing on his pizza, as if the world around him no longer mattered as long as there was food in front of him.

I took a sip of my drink, feeling the cold slide down my throat, then leaned back in my chair. My body finallyacknowledged the exhaustion after a day full of emotions and tension.

“It looks tike your meeting really drained you,” Liam said suddenly, his voice low but attentive.
