Forgotten Wife My Ex-Husband Regrets It After I Left (Clara and Liam) novel Chapter 299

Sienna’s POV

After everything was set on the breakfast table, I glanced at the clock and realized Noah must be fully awake by now. There was no way that child would fall back asleep after leaving his room earlier. I walked over to him, sitting on the sofa hugging his stuffed toy, his eyes still half open.

“Come on, sweetheart,” I called softly, brushing his hair.” Let’s take a bath so you’ll feel fresh.”

Noah nodded slightly, though he still looked sleepy. I took his hand and led him to the bathroom. Inside, I helped him out of his pajamas and turned on the warm shower. As soon as the water touched his skin, Noah slowly became more alert, a smile appearing on his face.

“Warm, Mommy,” he murmured happily.

I chuckled. “Yeah, so you won’t feel cold.”

While I bathed him, Noah started telling me about his dream from last night, something about racing with dinosaurs which made me hold back laughter because of how serious his expression was.

I gently rubbed his back, letting the water flow softly. “So, what color were the dinosaurs?” I asked, pretending to be serious, even though the corners of my lips were already twitching.”Green,” Noah answered firmly. “But one was blue. The blue one was naughty, Mommy. He cut in front.”

“Oh? How did that happen?” I picked up the liquid soap, poured it onto a small sponge, and began washing his arm with gentle motions.

“Because he had long legs,” Noah spread his arms wide, almost hitting my face. “Like this. Really long.

I laughed softly. “No wonder he was fast.”

“Yeah. But Noah didn’t want to lose,” he continued, his voice growing more excited. “Noah ran really fast, and then Daddy said, ‘Come on, Noah, you can do it!”

I paused for a moment, looking at his small face, wet with water and full of sincerity. “Daddy was in your dream?”

Noah nodded. “Daddy was watching from the side.

Mommy too.” He turned to me, his eyes shining. “Mommy was holding a flag.”

“What kind of flag?” I asked as I started rinsing the soap from his arm.

“The start and finish flag,” he answered quickly. “When

Mommy waved it, Noah could run.”

My chest felt warm hearing that. I brushed his wet hair gently, my fingers slipping through the soft strands. “So, who won?”

Noah went quiet for a moment, his little brow furrowingas if recalling an important detail. “Noah,” he finally said with a satisfied smile. “The dinosaurs got tired.”

| laughed softly. “Amazing. Noah is strong, huh?”

“Yeah,” he nodded confidently. “Because Noah eats pizza and salad.”

I shook my head, laughing again. “That explains it.”

The warm water kept flowing, thin steam beginning to fill the bathroom. I rinsed his hair carefully, making sure no soap was left behind. Noah closed his eyes obediently, occasionally humming softly when the water ran over his forehead.

“Mommy,” he suddenly said, his voice quieter.

“Hm?”
