Forgotten Wife My Ex-Husband Regrets It After I Left (Clara and Liam) novel Chapter 301

Liam straightened his jacket in front of the small mirror in the living room, while Noah busily put his books into his bag. I watched them, leaning against the dining table Ihad just cleaned.

“Come on, son. Let’s go,” Liam said, taking Noah’s hand.

Noah nodded enthusiastically. “Daddy takes me today, right? Not Mommy?”

“Yes, today Daddy,” Liam replied, double-checking Noah’s water bottle and lunch.

I walked over, making sure everything was in order. “Don’t forget the umbrella,” I said, handing it to him. “It might rain later.”

Liam took it and smiled faintly. “Yeah, thanks.”

Maybe because he was leaving town later that day, his eyes looked a little softer than usual. There was a kind of longing already present, even before he truly left.

“I’ll drop Noah off first, then head straight to the airport,” he said.

I nodded. “Okay. Be careful on the road.”

Liam looked at me for a few seconds, his gaze full of concern. “Are you sure you’ll be okay at home? If anything happens, call me. Even if I’m in a meeting, I’ll find a way to reply.”

I smiled, lifting a hand as if to calm him. “Liam, I’m not that fragile. Noah and I will be fine. So don’t worry too much, just focus on your trip.”He smiled slightly, a trace of relief passing over his face Alright. But still, contact me if you need anything.”

“Of course,” replied softly.
